SEPTEMBER 2019 - SEPTEMBER 2021

Our Vision for Reconciliation

Our vision for reconciliation in Australia is one where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this country are returned to a place of equality, dignity and respect, and that we as a nation continue to work to close the gap through the recognition of values, beliefs and practices in order to relate and work together more effectively.

As an advocate for vulnerable people in the community we value inclusion and collaboration. We acknowledge our role in ensuring all Australians have the opportunity to participate in the life of the community, and experience fairness and mutual respect. We envisage a nation that is free from all racism; where empowerment and healing has occurred through acknowledgement of the wrongs of the past and the subsequent intergenerational effects on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As an organisation we value diversity for the richness and creativity it brings to society and it is with a sense of hope, optimism and pride that we embark upon the implementation of this RAP. We are excited to put actions behind the words in the plan that will enable us to create real, tangible and sustainable change.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands where we work and the places in which we live. We pay respect to Ancestors and Elders past, present and emerging. Momentum Collective is committed to an inclusive and positive future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people.

Message from the CEO

I am delighted to introduce Momentum Collective’s Reconciliation Action Plan 2019 - 2021. While great effort is being made to close the gap that exists between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, there is still much to be done to achieve reconciliation. Momentum Collective is committed to positively contributing to Australia’s reconciliation journey and to building strong, trusting relationships with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities we support.
