Molton Monthly - May 2022

Welcome to the May edition of Molton Monthly. For the second month I have published the cover in the colours of the Ukrainian flag as an ongoing show of support as the first refugees from the war are welcomed here in North Devon.

Ukraine is referred to as the breadbasket of Europe, and you can read our correspondent Roger Hill’s concern for his fellow farmers working in the war zone (pages 38- 39). It’s heartwarming to see fundraising and aid collections are continuing locally.

Our cover photo this month is South Molton’s Emma Sing making her debut for England’s Red

Roses, the senior ladies rugby team in the Six

Nations championship - and she scored!
