What a wonderfully busy month at the garden! The new shed is now complete and we have been spending time rearranging everything to suit the new space.

Our most recent team day was well attended, with over 30 people (above). We planted the corn, weeded and tidied beds and washed, labelled and organised the tools ready for the new shed.

We have some yellow courgette plants in the ground with more squash soon to be planted. The potatoes look good but the dry weather has made it difficult to keep seeds watered, so some haven’t sprouted.

There is still ongoing work to increase our water storage capacity, with two new water butts installed, now we need some rain!

We welcome new members! If you’d like to join us, come along on a Thursday afternoon, weather permitting, around 2pm. No gardening experience needed. Email us at: somocogarden@gmail.com

Blooming break
