HI, I’M MOLLY A multidisciplinary designer living in Kentucky. I specialize in branding, print, layout, and package design.

My approach to design is heavily influenced by my background in fine art and I have always been fascinated by the relationship and overlap of fine art and design. I find that my best work often comes from allowing myself the room for experimentation. I’m fueled by the creative possibilities that a new challenge offers, and that’s what I find most exciting about starting a new project.

Fruit of the Loom x Fitbit is a concept brand collaboration aimed at promoting healthy living for men. The goal for this project was to choose a brand for Fruit of the Loom to partner with and then develop multiple components to showcase the collaboration. I chose to center my collaboration around Men’s Health Month, which takes place in June and aims to raise awareness of preventable health problems among men.

Blue is commonly used to represent Men’s Health Month so I used a monochromatic blue color palette throughout my components. This project taught me a great lesson in consistensy and I really enjoyed the outcome.

GENERATIONAL INFLUENCERS

Generational Influencers is a new non-profit youth program located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The program’s initiative is to inspire high school students to be leaders in the areas of journalism, digital story telling, and social media. I was asked to develop their brand identity to be used in print, web, social, and other collateral. I took a modern, vibrant, and youthful approach to their branding. My goal for the primary logo was to create a stylized G that could imply both G and I. The client also wanted to implement digital media imagery so I created submarks involving digital media icons.

NEW WAVE COFFEE CO

/ Branding Identity and Packaging Design

New Wave Coffee Co is a concept coffee company based in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The goal of this project was to create a new brand identity and subscription box model as well as its packaging components. I chose the name New Wave Coffee Co to represent the ever-changing trends in the coffee industry. My approach was to create a funky, millennial centric coffee brand with sleek branding and packaging components. This project was featured in the 2021 AIGA Louisville 100 Show, a juried exhibition that featured up to 100 pieces from both students and established professionals.

OXYMORON COLLAGES

/ Digital Collage Series

The goal of this project was to create a collage series based on three different oxymorons. The oxymorons featured are act naturally, damaged goods, and random order. I took a modern approach with these collages and chose to include a transparent circle in each design. After completing the posters, I transformed the designs into branded notecards.

I really enjoyed the layering process of these collages and love the final notecard outcome.

WHOLE BALANCE

Whole Balance is a dog food company that believes a healthy and happy pet starts with what’s in their bowl.

The goal of this project was to develop a pet food brand and packaging for a food bag. I approached this project with the imagery in mind. I used the photo of ingredients as my starting point and it helped me develop the identity of the brand. The outcome of the packaging is clean, modern, and colorful.

IT’S UP TO US CAMPAIGN

/ Branding and Poster Design

It’s Up to Us is a concept design for a non-profit organization aimed at increasing millennial voter participation in America.

This campaign was created during Design It Forward, a live team-focused design competition. We were given a 24 hour time frame to develop branding, print, and digital materials to influence and promote voting for our chosen demographic.

My role was to develop the branding and poster designs. As a result of the competition, our designs were used by a local candidate who ran for office in 2020.

FLEABAG

/ Collage Poster Design and Mixed Media on Canvas

This poster design was influenced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and her series, Fleabag. At the time I created this poster, I had just finished watching the show and came across this photo of her that I thought would make a great stencil. The process began with hand-cut stencils of the figure, which were used in both the digital and canvas version. Both versions also incorporate hand-typed scripts of the series.

The poster was featured and sold in Ellis Walker Gallery’s 2019 Winter Exhibition and the mixed media canvas was featured in the 2019-2020 Jerry E. Baker and Jack Lundt Memorial Juried Art Exhibition.
