alenti che arrivano. Talenti che vanno. Poi ci sono quelli che tornano... nel girotondo di persone che abbraccia il palcoscenico di The Mag stavolta, per una sorta di lieve par condicio di genere, abbiamo scelto per la copertina un uomo! Attore, doppiatore, decisamente bello con alle spalle una storia professionale piuttosto lunga che si rivelerà conosciuta ai più...e che, guarda caso, si intreccia anche con l’Umbria. È Giorgio Borghetti a raccontarsi in un’intervista a tutto tondo che segna il debutto di una nuova ‘firma’, quella di Lorenza Mangioni. Il respiro di The Mag anche stavolta è piuttosto internazionale visto che c’è un bel po’ di Londra. alents come and talents go. Then there are those that come again. To even things out within the circle of people who embrace The Mag’s stage, this time we’ve chosen a man for the front page! An actor, a dubber, decidedly handsome with a long professional history making him recognised by many… and one which happens to intertwine with Umbria. It is Giorgio Borghetti in his all-around interview with our new ‘name’; Lorenza Mangioni. The Mag’s effect has even gone international. London is included, with a return ticket for our team to the UK capital, who completed an incredible ‘mission’; from this month, thanks to the help of Vasco from Vasco and Piero’s Pavillon restaurant, our magazine will be present in London, exporting Italian and Umbrian style. London was also Eva Redapple’s destination; she has been picked to be the representative for a well-known shoe company, and while she was in the capital she presented her two new singles at an extremely cool event! In keeping with our mission we asked the journalist Massimo Zangarelli to join us on stage, giving us an interesting interview with Claudio Cardinale who is back in Anghiari to celebrate ‘La ragazza di Bube’. A must read is the invasion of the world of cabaret with an outspoken Paolo Rossi and also, a well-deserved tribute to the Tifernate and X Factor talent Michele Bravi. na coppia, tanto più se giovane, spesso ricerca una casa di facile gestione, rigenerante, un rifugio per poter staccare dal caos quotidiano, per ritrovarvi un’oasi di pace.

L’occhio del Curioso: il camino, in marmo e fatto a mano, è il fulcro della casa, il punto nevralgico di una living room elegante ma, allo stesso tempo, accogliente e informale; fortemente voluto, il focolare rimane l’unico elemento della zona giorno ad avere una decisa forma classica.

È la scelta qui descritta, dove troviamo un’abitazione realizzata su un terreno piuttosto distante dal centro abitato.

Costruita da zero, le scelte degli esterni e degli interni sono frutto di una netta divisione dei ruoli.

Mentre Lui si è occupato della strutturazione della casa, dei materiali edili, molti dei quali eco-sostenibili - si nota ad esempio un uso corposo del legno -, Lei si è concentrata sull’arredamento e sull’impronta estetica da trasmettere all’appartamento.

Gli spazi sono ampi, conviviali, anche se le linee guida appaiono minimali ed essenziali.

L’idea iniziale era quella di un ambiente interno dalle forme classiche, che però si è con il tempo tramutato in un arredo iper-moderno.

couple, especially when young, often search for a house that is easy to manage, that is relaxing and a haven to get away from the daily chaos, an oasis of peace.

This is the ideal described here, where there is a house that has been built on land quite far from town.

Built from scratch, the design of the interior and exterior are the result of a clear division of roles. While he was involved in the choosing of the structure of the home, building materials, many of which are eco-friendly and can be seen as a robust use of wood.

Meanwhile she concentrated on the furniture, the aesthetics, and the ambiance to be created for the apartment. The rooms are spacious, convivial, even if the design brief appears minimal and basic.

Anche i comici piangono

a 30 anni Paolo Rossi passa dalle atmosfere dei club ai grandi palcoscenici, con un salto a teatro strizzando l’occhio al cabaret. Sono diventate un cult le sue incursioni in televisione mentre lui non disdegna neanche i tendoni del circo.

Abbiamo fatto con Paolo Rossi una curiosa chiacchierata al telefono durata circa quindici minuti, intercalata da qualche buona risata, alle 11 di una mattina alla vigilia dello spettacolo «L’amore è un cane blu» che doveva mettere in scena a Città di Castello nell’ambito di Altrocioccolato (spettacolo annullato all’ultimo minuto).

Fare teatro oggi cosa significa?

«Lo scoglio da superare se si vuole affermare il concetto di Teatro popolare è quello del prezzo del biglietto. Io non sono esperto di economia, ma a fare teatro non ci guadagni tanto. Un conto poi è se giri da solo, ma come nel mio caso attuale se vai in tourné con 15 persone, fai teatro impopolare. Il pubblico sta diminuendo».

Quindi potrebbe essere una soluzione abbassare il costo del biglietto?

«Noi ad esempio nel caso di un concerto a Roma dove la prevendita era stata scarsa abbiamo dimezzato il costo e da 200 venduti si è passati a 2 mila. Un sacco di gente è venuta a dirmi ‘Non ti ho mai visto perché non potevo permetterlo’».

In tv hai fatto programmi cult, anche insieme a Celentano tanto che per qualcuno come Santoro eravate una delle coppie più interessati del piccolo schermo. C’è ancora tv nel tuo futuro?

«Le televisioni sono tuttora importanti, ma non più come una volta: adesso puoi fare delle cose interessanti diversamente come registrare un video, metterlo nel web e contare 130 mila visualizzazioni».

Cosa pensi della tv attuale?

«Guardo Rai News per vedere se succede qualcosa, poi ci guardo il calcio e i film in dvd. Ieri l’altro ho visto un film d’amore mi posso commuovere tranquillamente davanti a un film e dopo cambia tutto: io e il mio cane dopo aver visto quel film siamo stati tutta la notte a piangere. Ecco cosa fa un comico di notte: piange».

Cosa vuol dire il titolo dello spettacolo ‘L’amore è un cane blu’?

«Dovevo partire per il Carso per uno spettacolo e ho fatto il sogno del cane blu. Poi raccogliendo spunti da mitologia e racconti, mi è tornata in mente la fa-

vola di questo cane che ha uno strano rapporto con la Bora e che, invece di indietreggiare, diventa blu... in realtà era una leggenda che mi raccontavano da bambino e che io avevo rimosso. Infatti la mia nonna mi diceva che dopo l’arrivo del cane blu succede qualcosa di molto importante, ma nessuno sa se sarà un evento positivo o negativo».

‘L’amore è un cane blu’ sarà anche un film, è un progetto che sta andando avanti?

«Sono appunti per un film: io inizialmente volevo raccontare una storia che chiaramente poi nel corso dei mesi è cambiata e si è trasformata in un western balcanico, comico e grottesco con la colonna sonora live del gruppo musicale ‘I Virtuosi del Carso’ che mai è stata così importante».

Oggi sempre più spesso i comici attingono alla situazione politica: tu per esempio, se per assurdo ti trovassi in cima ad una torre con Beppe Grillo e Silvio Berlusconi, chi butteresti di sotto?

«Semplicemente io non salgo sulla torre».

Nel tuo curriculum di cantante c’è un inedito di Rino Gaetano, esiste un’altra canzone che ti piacerebbe cantare o

rilanciare?

«Sì, ‘Parlare con i limoni’ di Enzo Jannacci».

Che musica ascolti?

«Tutta quella che mi capita e reputo interessante, sia italiana che straniera. Da tre anni grazie ad un regista lirico mi sono interessato all’opera di Cimarosa, sono stato al San Carlo di Napoli, mi hanno portato anche a Hong Kong, ho recitato in una lingua cinese improbabile... ovviamente non ho mai pensato di diventare regista lirico».

Un mese in un’isola deserta: quale libro metti in valigia? «‘Allucinazioni’ di Oliver Sacks».

or 30 years, Paolo Rossi has traveled from the atmosphere of the club to the big stage, with a leap into the theatre, winking at the cabaret. His forays into television have become a cult hit as he does not even mind the circus tents. We had a curious conversation with Paolo Rossi on the phone lasting about fifteen minutes, interspersed with some good laughs, at 11, one morning on the eve of the show “ L’amore è un cane blu” (Love is a blue dog) that was staged in Città di Castello as a part of “Altrocioccolato” (the show has been cancelled at the last minute).

What does it mean to do theatre today?

«The obstacle to overcome if you want to maintain the concept of popular theater is the price of the ticket. I am no expert on economics, but I do not earn a lot in the theatre. For example then if you tour on your own its different but as in my case today I take 15 people with me, so doing theatre becomes unpopular. The public numbers are dwindling».

So one solution could be to lower the cost of the ticket ?

«For example in the case of a concert in Rome where the movement of presale tickets was poor, we halved the price and sales went from 200 in 2000.

A lot of people came to tell me, “I’ve never seen you because I could not afford it».

In TV you made cult programs also, together with Celentano, so that for someone like, Santoro, you were one of the most interesting couples on the small screen. Is there still TV in your future?

«Television is still important, but no longer as it once was, now you can do some interesting and diverse things, record a video, put it on the web and watch it reach 130.000 hits».

What do you think of current TV? «I watch Rai News to see what is happening, then I watch football and movies on DVD. The other day I saw a romantic film, it is possible for me to be touched by a film and then everything changes, my dog and I,​​ after seeing the movie we were up all night crying. That’s what a comedian does at night , weeping».

What does the title of the show “L’amore è un cane blu”’ mean?

«I had to leave for il Carso for a show and I had a dream of the blue dog. iondissima, con un look molto sofisticato, è partita con due inediti e tanti sogni in valigia. Così a Londra nel mese di ottobre, nello store della Ruco Line (azienda di calzature molto in voga), è sbarcata Eva Redapple (nome d’arte di Eva Santucci) per dare vita ad un importante appuntamento tutto made in Italy. Eva, giovane cantante di Città di Castello, è stata scelta come testimonial dal brand che attorno a lei ha costruito un mega evento. Ma Londra è solo l’inizio: è pronto il primo album di Eva, ‘Italian Beauty’, che conterrà canzoni in inglese e italiano. «Per me - spiega - tutto questo è un sogno che si realizza, un progetto al quale lavoro da tanto tempo e cui tengo molto. Ora sì, sta finalmente prendendo forma!». Un mood fresco, intriso di sonorità swing, blues, latine e folk sono gli ingredienti dell’album che, in alcune parti, è stato anticipato proprio a Londra. Tutto si è svolto in South Molton Street dove Eva è arrivata a bordo di una Vespa... accompagnata da una delegazione composta da dieci persone tra tecnici, musicisti, curatori del look, che hanno raggiunto la capitale inglese. L’annuncio di questo evento era stato tutto giocato attorno all’eleganza, alla raffinatezza del Made in Italy avvolti in uno stile fuori dal tempo.

«Questi sono i valori sui quali abbiamo deciso di puntare - dice l’azienda in una nota - e che legano Ruco Line e la giovane artista Eva Redapple che ha ispirato l’evento di riapertura del nostro punto vendita londinese». Eva si è esibita alla presenza di clienti, giornalisti e bloggers, presentando i suoi due singoli: “Solo per me” e “Snail” incisi e arrangiati a Città di Castello al Sound Studio Service di Alberto Brizzi e Marco Capaccioni (mentre i testi delle canzoni sono stati scritti dal musicista tifernate Stefano Stinchi). Ha fatto parte della delegazione anche Lorenzo Lombardi (Whiterose Pictures), film maker che si è occupato di girare il video musicale. Il look di Eva è stato invece curato da Josef Roveto (costumista di fama internazionale che ha lavorato per la Twentieth Century Fox e con alcune importanti star musicali). «Il videoclip di ‘Solo per me’ - aggiunge infine Eva - è stato girato a Londra e sarà on line a dicembre nel canale Youtube. È una fiaba moderna che racconta la caccia al tesoro di due innamorati nella fascinosa capitale inglese. Questo primo singolo ovviamente è tratto dal mio album di debutto Italian Beauty che verrà presto presentato in un esclusivo evento live!».

Nel 1982 la Universal Pictures distribuisce E.T. l’Extra-Terrestre per la regia di Steven Spielberg, pellicola destinata a diventare un vero e proprio cult, tutta incentrata sull’amicizia che il piccolo alieno riesce a stabilire con Elliot, un bambino di 9 anni.

Legame che diventa grande al di là degli impedimenti linguistici, della provenienza e nel nome di quell’incoscienza mista a fiducia che è peculiare dell’infanzia.

In Italia abbiamo conosciuto la storia anche attraverso Giorgio Borghetti che a soli 11 anni si ritrovò a doppiare Elliot, dando voce al percorso di scoper ta del diverso che Spielberg ci ha raccontato.

Da allora ne ha doppiati altri, di film impor tanti, come L’attimo fuggente, Stand by me – ricordo di un’estate, A beautiful mind, fino ad arrivare alla recitazione nelle sue varie declinazioni; la televisione con fiction come Carabinieri, Incantesimo, Elisa di Rivombrosa, Un Matrimonio, miniserie firmata da Pupi Avati di prossima uscita e il musical con Bulli e Pupe dove ricopriva il ruolo che al cinema fu di Marlon Brando, senza mai perdere la curiosità e quel desiderio di rinnovamento che spesso hanno le persone più sensibili.

Oggi Giorgio è un giovane uomo con qualche capello bianco e più consapevolezza, che ha compiuto un lungo percorso in cui si è scoper to e riscoper to, mescolando esperienze personali e lavoro senza mai cadere nella trappola del manierismo, custodendo con fermezza la sua identità.

Lo incontriamo in un giorno piovoso, durante una pausa fra i suoi impegni, sorridente, disponibile, pronto a raccontare se stesso con semplicità.

Anzi, per quanto naturale possa essere la dimestichezza con la finzione, colpisce la sua autenticità e la voglia di immediatezza nel dialogo.

Cosa ricordi dell’esperienza di E.T.?

«Me la ricordo come un sogno ad occhi aperti; quale bambino non vorrebbe incontrare un alieno e con lui vivere un’avventura? Lì è iniziata per me l’avventura della mia vita, del mio lavoro, di quello che tuttora vivo».

Già intuivi che sarebbe diventata per te una professione e ti avrebbe avvicinato alla recitazione?

«Ero troppo piccolo per avere una chiara consapevolezza, non mi facevo domande sul futuro; giorno dopo giorno è diventata la mia vita perché non ho mai smesso di doppiare».

Doppiare richiede tempismo e immedesimazione, sono caratteristiche che ti hanno aiutato poi da attore?

«Nel doppiaggio è fondamentale l’immediatezza, non c’è trasposizione fisica, si deve dar voce alle emozioni che in quel momento qualcun altro sta vivendo, recitare invece coinvolge anche il corpo e tutta la sfera emotiva, quindi c’è un approccio molto differente.

Ciò che sicuramente mi ha aiutato è stato imparare il rigore, la precisione, la costanza e l’attenzione, tutti aspetti fondamentali per vivere il set».

Nella tua vita c’è stato un momento in cui ti sei trasferito da Roma a Bologna, hai cambiato in toto il tuo modo di vivere e di avvicinarti al lavoro. Credi che si possano sempre conciliare scelte personali e carriera? «È molto difficile in un mestiere come questo: ci vuole equilibrio perché spesso si è fuori casa, costretti da orari davvero complessi da gestire e da impegni improvvisi a cui dire di no non sempre è possibile. Ne paga, le conseguenze, involontariamente, chi ci sta vicino. Diventa fondamentale bilanciare le priorità».

Ricordi il momento preciso in cui hai capito che andare oltre la sala di doppiaggio, quindi recitare, era il tuo sogno?

«A 25 anni ho avuto un momento di svolta; volevo lasciare tutto e diventare maestro di sci, altra mia grande passione. Poi ho incontrato quello che ora posso definire il mio maestro, Riccardo de Torrebruna, che mi ha aiutato a capire come dare corpo alla voce e come gestire le emozioni. Da quel momento ho imparato ad amare la recitazione per la sua completezza, per la forza con cui si può rappresentare l’esperienza umana».

A gennaio ti vedremo in tv in “Un Matrimonio” per la regia di Pupi Avati, da molti considerato un maestro; com’è stato lavorare con lui?

«Davvero è un grande maestro! Un uomo dall’aspetto burbero in apparenza, ma in realtà buonissimo e

capace di interagire con tutta la troupe. Ho cercato di “rubare” il più possibile sul set, guardavo come sistemava le macchine, come dirigeva noi attori, con quale affabilità e fermezza si rivolgeva a tutti. La sua instancabile passione».

Tu sei stato sposato, hai poi avuto una storia importante e un bellissimo bambino, quanto di te hai messo in questo progetto con Avati?

«In realtà porto sempre la mia esperienza personale sul set, non si può prescindere da ciò che si è; è un lavoro emozionale, in cui inevitabilmente si toccano corde sensibili. È anche importante l’immedesimazione per dare credibilità al progetto, ma in questo caso specifico è stato semplice; l’ambiente era di per sé familiare e raccontare la storia di un matrimonio lungo 50 anni attraverso dinamiche domestiche ha permesso un coinvolgimento maggiore».

Si può dire che da anni frequenti Città di Castello grazie ad alcuni rapporti di amicizia ormai consolidati; cosa ti piace di qui?

«In una parola: la quiete. I ritmi della capitale sono davvero faticosi, Roma è una città meravigliosa e spietata allo stesso tempo, quando vengo qui è un rigenerarsi. Il silenzio, la calma e sicuramente il buon mangiare! I miei impegni non mi permetterebbero, almeno ora, di allontanarmi dalla città, ma avere un approdo tranquillo è sicuramente importante per decomprimere tensioni e stress».

Sei direttore di doppiaggio, impegnato in un prossimo progetto a teatro, ti vedremo inoltre anche nel cast di Centovetrine: pensi di poter fare già un bilancio o preferisci aspettare di vedere cosa riserva il futuro?

«Il bilancio è assolutamente positivo. Senza presunzione, mi reputo un uomo pienamente realizzato: sono contento del lavoro, ho dei rapporti importanti che mi arricchiscono sempre, ma soprattutto ho un figlio che amo e che mi ha assolutamente cambiato in meglio. Ovviamente questo non toglie che c’è il desiderio di migliorare e di raggiungere tutti gli obiettivi che mi sono prefissato».

In un ambiente competitivo come quello dello spettacolo non sempre è facile per un giovane trovare la propria strada ed emergere, cosa consiglieresti?

«Di pensarci molto molto molto bene (sorride). È una strada davvero difficile, dura, a volte passione e talento possono non bastare. Ci vuole fortuna ovvio, ma anche capacità di sacrificio e umiltà per non pensare di dover mai smettere di studiare e crescere.

In fondo è quello che chiede anche la vita, no?»

In Italy we have known the story through Giorgio Borghetti who at just 11 years of age dubbed Elliot part, giving voice to the voyage of discovery Spielberg told.

Since then he has dubbed others, important films such as Dead Poets Society, Stand by me - I remember one summer, A Beautiful Mind, until getting into various forms of acting; televised fiction in the Carabinieri, Incantesimo, Elisa di Rivombrosa and Un Matrimonio, a miniseries complete by Pupi Avati the forthcoming musical Guys and Dolls where he plays Marlon Brando’s character from the film, without losing the curiosity and desire to 48

reinvent the character, which is often the way of sensitive people.

Today, Giorgio is a young man with a few gray hair and more selfawareness, but above all he has come a long way from when he was discovered and rediscovered, mixing personal experiences and work without ever falling into the trap of imitation but firmly keeping his own identity.

We meet on a rainy day, during a break between his commitments, smiling, helpful, ready to simply talk about himself. Indeed, when naturally familiar with fiction, what strikes me is his wish for open and intimacy in the conversation.

What do you remember of the experience of E.T. ?

«I remember it as a daydream, what kid would not want to meet an alien and have an adventure with him? For me it was the beginning of the adventure of my life and my work and it is still continuing».

Had you already foresee that it would be your profession and it would introduce you to acting?

«I was too young to have a clear understanding, I didn’t ask myself about the future, by day after day it became my life because I have never stopped dubbing films».

Dubbing requires timing and empathy, are these characteristics that have helped you as an actor then?

«Dubbing is essentially immediacy, there is no physical movement, relying only on the voice to convey the emotions. Acting instead involves the whole body and the emotional contrast, for which there is a very different approach.

What definitely helped me was learning the rigor, accuracy, consistency and attention, all the fundamental aspects for surviving on the set».

During your life there was a time when you moved from Rome to Bologna. You’ve changed your whole way of living and are closer to work. Do you think you can always reconcile your personal and career choices?

«It is very difficult job as you need to find a balance because you are often out of the house, forced by demanding schedules to manage commitments and saying no is not always possible. The people who are close to us, even unintentionally pay the price. It is fundamental to balance all of life’s priorities».

Do you remember the exact moment when you realized you wanted to go beyond the dubbing room, and that acting was your dream?

«At age 25 there was a turning point, I wanted to leave everything and become a ski instructor, my other great passion. Then I met my teacher, Riccardo de Torrebruna, which helped me understand how to give body to the voice and how to convey emotion. Since then I have learned to love acting as a whole, for the strength with which you can represent the human experience».

It has been said that for years you have visited Città di Castello, thanks to some wellestablished friendships, what do you like about it here?

«In a word: peace. The pace is really tiring of the capital, Rome is a wonderful city and ruthless at the same time, so I come here to regenerate. The silence, calm and definitely the good food! My schedule does not allow me, at least now, to get away from the city, but I have a quiet haven that is definitely important to relieve tension and stress».

In January, we’ll see you on TV in “Un Matrimonio” directed by Pupi Avati , widely regarded as a master, how was it working with him?

«He really is a great master! A gruff looking man, but in reality very good and able to interact with the whole crew. I looked to acquire as much as possible on the set, I watched how to set up the equipment, how he handled the actors and how with affability and strength he managed everyone. His tireless passion.»

You are the dubbing director, engaged in your next project in the theater, and we will see you in the cast of “Centovetrine”. Do you think you can make a comment on that, or do you prefer to wait and see what the future holds?

«The balance is absolutely right. without exception, I’m a grown man and happy with the work, I have valuable relationships that always enrich me but mostly I have a son that I love and that has absolutely changed me for the better. Obviously this does not mean that there is less of a desire to improve and achieve all the goals that I have set».

You’ve been married, you then had an well publicised romantic relationship and a beautiful baby, how much of yourself did you put into this project with Avati?

«In fact I always bring my own personal experiences to the set, you cannot forget who you are, it is emotional work, which inevitably touches upon sensitive things. It is also important that this identification lends credibility to the project.

However, in this particular case it was simple, the environment was familiar to me and allowed for greater commitment in telling the story of a 50 year long marriage through the domestic dynamic».

In a competitive environment like that of performance it is not always easy for a young person to find exposure, what would you recommend ?

«Thinking about it very very very hard (smiles). It’s a really hard and difficult road, sometimes passion and talent is not enough. It takes luck of course, but also the necessity for selfsacrifice and modesty, never stop studying and growing.

At the end this is a life’s calling, right?»

ezzo secolo dopo “La ragazza di Bube” girato ad Anghiari, Claudia Cardinale è tornata sui luoghi del tournage, amabilmente conversando con il pubblico che gremiva il Teatro dei Ricomposti, trionfalmente accolta dagli altotiberini tra i quali tante comparse d’allora che mai hanno dimenticato la diva: proprio in quegli anni lei stava conquistando gli schermi internazionali e il film di Luigi Comencini, tratto dal romanzo di Cassola, diede una spinta fondamentale alla sua irresistibile ascesa.

Signora Cardinale, 50 anni da “La ragazza di Bube”: che ricordo ha di quel film? «È stata un’incredibile emozione rivederlo qui insieme alla gente di Anghiari che mi ha riservato questa straordinaria accoglienza… il personaggio era tosto come ero tosta io, è stato per me il film della svolta anche perché per la prima volta non venivo doppiata e la mia voce era quella che ancora oggi mi caratterizza, rauca perchè da piccola io non parlavo proprio (però facevo a pugni con i maschi…) ed ero come senza voce».

Dopo quel film la chiamarono “La fidanzata d’Italia”…

«Perché incarnavo i valori di un

certo tipo di ragazza, fedele all’uomo amato oltre ogni avversità».

I suoi partners toccarono il loro apice di fama nel film…

«Gorge Chakiris l’ho rivisto a Los Angeles dove avevano organizzato una rassegna di miei film che mi attendeva con in mano l’affiche originale de “La ragazza di Bube”; Marc Michel, reincontrato a un festival, non l’avevo neanche riconosciuto… è stato lui a rimettermisi in mente…»

Musa per Visconti e anche per Fellini: ha mai saputo che stima avessero l’uno dell’altro?

«Non potevano essere più diversi: maniacale sino al dettaglio Visconti, con il quale avevo un rapporto bellissimo: passavo molto tempo a sua casa sua ed era come stare a teatro; improvvisatore senza copione Fellini che mi definiva la sua musa ispiratrice… i rapporti non ottimali tra i due erano anche peggiorati nel periodo in cui giravo contemporaneamente con l’uno (“Il Gattopardo”) e con l’altro (‘8 e ½’) perché ognuno mi voleva per sé…».

Lei, una delle poche dive italiane a Hollywood, vi esordì con due star assolute come Rita Hayworth e John Wayne…

«Nel film di Hathaway sul mondo circense potei recitare a fianco di Rita Hayworth, sempre da me considerata un mito, ancora straordinariamente affascinante, e di John Wayne che ricordo aveva le mani tre volte più grandi delle mie…».

Il suo ricordo di Giuliano Gemma con il quale ha girato “Corleone” e “Il prefetto di ferro” «È terribile perdere persone così care e colleghi così importanti… l’ultima volta che ci siamo visti con Alain Delon lui piangeva nel constatare come fossimo gli ultimi sopravvissuti rispetto a tanti del nostro ambiente, tutti andati via…».

Lei ha fatto teatro sia in Francia che in Italia, ultima esperienza ”Zoo di vetro” portato anche agl’Illuminati di Città di Castello: lo farebbe ancora?

«Bello eh Tennessee Willams… ogni tanto mi chiedono di tornare sul palcoscenico ma sono troppo impegnata con i film… come faccio?»

A proposito stanno per uscire tre/quattro titoli tutti con registi giovanissimi: una scelta precisa?

«Sì se un copione mi piace trovo giusto cercare di aiutare i giovani registi».

Lei è stata per anni diva assoluta, definita per oltre un decennio la più bella del mondo, risiede in Francia e dalla Francia ha avuto molte soddisfazioni professionali: sono tutte analogie con Monica Bellucci. Quale giudizio ne dà?

«Una volta lei mi ha detto che deve tutto a me, la sua carriera origina dalla sua ammirazione nei miei confronti, ma c’è una differenza… io non mi sono mai spogliata… ma lei è bellissima!»

Ambasciatrice UNESCO si batte da sempre per i diritti delle donne: in pieno terzo millennio il femminicidio è ancora una piaga sociale… «È tremenda la frequenza quotidiana di questi delitti…!»

Tra una Sophia Loren statuaria nei suoi splendidi anni sapientemente ritoccati e una Brigitte Bardot (con la quale lei girò “Le Pistolere”) che mai ha fatto niente per attutire i danni del tempo lei ha tenuto una sua via…

«Mai fatto un lifting… mi mantengo molto attiva e questo trovo sia proprio positivo».

A

‘Imparare a mentire la verità’ è lo slogan della scuola di teatro... cosa significa?

«Si dice che il Teatro sia il luogo della finzione. Molti italiani pensano (sempre più spesso) che il luogo della finzione sia l’anfiteatro di Montecitorio. Ecco che il confine fra Verità/Menzogna diventa sempre più sottile, e allora, un po’ per gioco e un po’ per studio, si cercherà di capire qual è il confine fra il vero/falso, e come in un grande quiz a risposta secca, chi partecipa avrà la risposta».

‘Learning to twist the truth ‘ is the slogan of the school of theatre... what does this mean?

«It is said that the theatre is the place of fiction. Many Italians think (increasingly) the place of fiction is the amphitheatre of Montecitorio, (The Italian Parliament). Se dico ‘Tovaglia a Quadri’, cucina e teatro vanno di pari passo?

Ma Tovaglia a Quadri, 18 anni fa, ha di sicuro reinventato e reso unico questo connubio gastro-teatrale, rendendolo inscindibile e strettamente legato al luogo dove si svolge e alla vita dei suoi abitanti. Tovaglia a Quadri è più di uno spettacolo con cena: è un’esperienza».

If I say “Tovaglia a quadri” (checked tablecloth), do cooking and theatre go hand in hand?

«Forever, it has certainly not been discovered by us but the Tovaglia a quadri, 18 years ago, reinvented for sure this unique blend of gastro-theatrical, making it inseparable and closely linked to the site where it takes place and the lives of its inhabitants. “Tovaglia a quadri” is more than just a show with dinner, it is an experience».

Una caratteristica, direi molto originale, dell’attività del Teatro di Anghiari sono le Pulpito Nites. Da dov’è nata l’idea?

«Il Pulpito nasce da sé stesso: tra il ‘700 e l’800, gli accademici recitavano da questo pulpito le loro orazioni accademiche, e facevano piccole performance/concerti in cima al ballatoio. Questo perché il Teatro era freddo da riscaldare d’inverno, e il Pulpito aveva il caminetto. Quella stanza cadeva a pezzi, e scatta l’idea: un Pulpito per artisti, di ogni razza e colore musicale/teatrale/letterario.

L’amministrazione ci ha creduto e ci ha messo a disposizione un po’ di manovalanza. Michele Corgnoli ha messo in piedi una prima programmazione e siamo partiti. Ma dietro il Pulpito c’è un mondo. E ogni sera una sorpresa...»

One very original feature, of the Theatre of Anghiari I would say, are the Pulpit Nites. Where did the idea come from?

«The pulpit was itself created: between the 17th and 18th century, academics used to recite from this pulpit their academic oration and gave short performances or concerts at the top of the gallery. This is because in the winter the theatre was too cold to heat and the pulpit had a fireplace.

That room was falling apart and triggered the idea of a pulpit for the artists, encompassing every race and colour, musical, theatrical and literary. Cosa significa essere il direttore artistico di una realtà teatrale così vivace?

Sembra che in Italia un Teatro aperto, sia considerato più un “lusso” che un “bisogno sociale”. Uno degli universi dove lo scorrere del tempo crea i maggiori scompensi e vuoti cosmici è sicuramente quello musicale. Proprio qui il suo incedere ha colpito duramente di recente. No, non mi riferisco soltanto alla scomparsa di uno dei più grandi poeti maledetti del rock, Lou Reed, per il quale non basterebbe un’enciclopedia ad omaggiarlo degnamente. Il ricordo dei più grandi artisti contemporanei e l’eternità della sua musica sono forse il miglior modo per consegnarlo all’immortalità.

Mi riferisco ad esempio ai Pearl Jam con il loro ultimo Lighting Bolt. Svestiti i panni del fan che mi porteranno sempre ad amarli, è difficile poter giudicare il loro lavoro se non al massimo un buon album. Sonorità piacevoli, strumenti e voce perfetti ma privi del sangue che si versa al dio del rock. I contenuti morbidi e la mancanza della giusta passione purtroppo lasciano asciutti i cuori degli amanti più puri. Ed Vedder dice giusto quando rammenta che “gli album per un artista sono come i figli di una coppia dove i genitori sono sempre gli stessi ma i figli non sono mai uguali, tu genitore puoi metterci tutto il tuo massimo impegno ma non è detto che vengano al mondo e crescano come vorresti”; discorso che non fa una piega. Ma allora mi domando come ha fatto David Bowie a tornare con un album impeccabile, The Nex Day, uno di quei dischi che si facevano una volta dove tutte le canzoni meritano di essere riascoltate?

Domande che rimangono senza risposte, come solo nel rock accade. Ma voi, duri e puri, nonchè nostalgici di suoni grunge-hardrock-punk, date un ascolto alla giovane band canadese dei Metz e al loro omonimo primo album, e soprattutto provateli dal vivo (fantastici), vi assicuro che non rimarrete delusi.

I NOSTRI CONSIGLI: tanti lettori mi chiedono consigli per poter mantenere bene le orchidee; vi assicuro che non è così difficile come si pensa. Una sola parola per godersi tutta la fioritura di un Phalaenopsis: la luce! In casa sistematela davanti ad una finestra da ottobre a maggio ma ricordatevi di toglierla in estate perché l’effetto lente brucerebbe le foglie. Non innaffiatele troppo, specialmente nei mesi più freddi, e soprattutto non lasciate mai acqua nei sottovasi. Per evitare possibili rotture dello stelo causate dei troppi fiori, create un sostegno con un piccolo bastoncino.

La Phalaenopsis, come tutte le orchidee, predilige spazi stretti. Le radici aeree che in natura le fanno vivere sugli alberi non devono indurre nell’errore più comune di pensare che sia giunta l’ora del trapianto, Ad impedire la fioritura è spesso proprio un vaso troppo grande.

Le orchidee hanno bisogno di tanta concimazione tutto l’anno, anche durante la fioritura. Ultimo consiglio: quando la corolla del fiore inizia ad appassire recidetela. Appena lo stelo sarà privo di fiori, iniziate la fase della potatura: misurate con un righello 15 cm dalla base della pianta e tagliatelo in maniera netta.

Nel giro di qualche mese nasceranno altre gemme e la nuova fioritura vi terrà compagnia per altri mesi.

Tre anni fa, in netto anticipo sui tempi, proponemmo il celeste Tiffany sia per i pendenti che per le luci; quest’anno invece il Natale sarà a pois: palline, fiocchi, candele; tutto sarà bianco e rosso come i colori principi del Natale.

SUGGERIMENTO: alternate il super chic con il minimalista e aggiungete un tocco di vintage per otternere un risultato favoloso!

La Ricetta dello chef - The Chef’s Recipe

Rollè di Manzo con cavolo nero stufato, pecorino, sesamo e riduzione di miele e vino rosso.

Beef Roulade with stewed black leaf kale, pecorino, sesame seeds, honey and a red wine reduction.

Questo piatto mi è venuto in mente stamattina, per noi cuochi è normale inventare o tirare fuori due-tre piatti al giorno.

In realtà doveva avere il composto di castagne, la carne è esclusivamente di Chianina perché voglio rispettare il territorio, infatti viene da qui vicino. Ho inserito il cavolo nero perché è una verdura autunnale, cerco sempre di seguire le stagioni. Il vino rosso dà quella punta di acidità mentre il sesamo serve sia per decorare sia per i suoi oli.

Ingredienti per 4 persone: 300 gr. Noce di Manzo (Chianina), 500 gr. Cavolo Nero, 2 Scalogni, 50 gr. Pecorino a scaglie, 200 ml di Vino Rosso, 300 gr. Miele Millefiori, 50 gr. Sesamo bianco tostato Preparazione Battere il manzo tra due fogli di pellicola ben fine (tipo carpaccio), a parte far stufare il cavolo tagliato molto fine con lo scalogno a fuoco dolce.

In un pentolino dai bordi alti far caramellare il miele, raggiunto il colore bruno aggiungere il vino e lasciare sobbollire fino a che si riduce della metà; far raffreddare per raggiungere la giusta densità.

Stendere la carne su pellicola, porvi al centro una linea di cavolo e arrotolare, scottare in una padella antiaderente il rotolo così formato. Adagiarlo in un piatto, spolverare con sesamo, condire con la riduzione a filo e, infine, con le scaglie di pecorino. Voilà.

Ingredients (4 people): 300 g. Beef (preferably Chianina), 500 g. Black leaf Kale, 2 Shallots, 50 g. Pecorino shavings, 200 ml of red wine, 300 g. Wildflower Honey, 50 g. Toasted white sesame seeds Preparation Tenderise the beef, sealed between two sheets of cling film (such as carpaccio, thinly sliced raw meat), part braise the black leaf kale with the finely cut shallots on low heat.

In a small high sided saucepan caramelise the honey, until it gets a golden brown colour, add the wine and simmer until it is reduced by half, let cool to reach the right consistency .

Stretch out the meat on the cling film, put in a line of the kale in the middle and roll up and blanch the rolls in a pan.

Place it on a plate, sprinkle with the sesame seeds, drizzle with the wine reduction and finally, top with the shaved pecorino cheese. Voilà.
