A Message from the President of Mohonk Preserve
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As we reflect on 2024, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for our collective accomplishments at Mohonk Preserve. Our precious ecosystem remains wild and accessible, and we made significant strides in land stewardship, educational outreach and community engagement Our dedicated team and incredible volunteers tirelessly maintained trails, protected diverse wildlife, and restored vital habitats, all while welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors who found both solace and adventure on the land. These achievements are a testament to the passion and commitment of our entire Mohonk Preserve family of board, staff, volunteers, members, visitors and donors.
At the heart of all our endeavors are our core values: Teamwork, fostering collaboration and accountability; Transparency, ensuring clear, honest, and ethical decision-making; Belonging, welcoming everyone with respect and compassion; Exploration, valuing curiosity, education, and innovation; and Stewardship, our commitment to responsibly serving the land and community These values are woven into every decision, program and interaction, driving us to be responsible stewards and inspiring others to join this vital work.
Your unwavering support made this possible. Your membership, donations and volunteer hours directly translate into tangible conservation efforts and meaningful experiences. Whether you hiked, attended a program or simply enjoyed the landscape, you played a crucial role. We are especially proud of deepened connections with local communities, creating more inclusive opportunities for everyone to experience the Preserve's beauty and benefits.
Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, we are brimming with excitement. We plan to launch ambitious new initiatives focused on climate resilience, advanced ecological research and expanding nature access for underserved populations. We will continue to innovate stewardship practices, leveraging new technologies to better understand and protect our unique environment. The challenges ahead are significant, but with your continued partnership, I am confident Mohonk Preserve will thrive as a beacon of conservation, education and outdoor recreation. Thank you for being an essential part of our journey!
Warmly,
Kevin Case President & CEO
