Good day! I am Jebby Baquilar, a Grade Six pupil under the advisory of Ma’am Carla May C. Pepito. Will the school paper share stories about how students overcome bullying or ways to stop it, focusing on positive and helpful ideas?
Hi Jebby, thank you for voicing out your questions. Yes, the school paper will talk about how students stop bullying and share positive ideas We want to tell stories of success and helpful ways to deal with bullying It's all about making our school a better and safer place for everyone
At Mohon Elementary School, parents, teachers, and folks from the community met up They all cared deeply about keeping kids safe. The room felt excited, everyone eager to learn important stuff.
First, Police Corporal Lunavi T Pahamutan talked about stopping bullying She was so kind and knew a lot. She said we should always watch out for kids being mean to each other.
Then, Ma'am Verylyn S Baclay shared stories about something scary: kids getting hurt by grownups. She said we need to pay attention and help keep kids safe from bad things.
People listened carefully, taking notes and asking questions Kids, especially, asked how to help when things aren’t right. The speakers were nice and gave good advice. They said we all have a job to keep kids safe
When the day ended, everyone felt more ready to protect kids. They knew they could make a difference. By learning and looking out for kids, they could make the world safer for them
This meeting wasn’t just a talk It showed that when we all work together, we can keep children safe. It reminded us that knowing things and caring can help keep kids from harm Let's keep working together to make sure all kids are safe and happy

By: Nadine NaelgaIn our school, each person's voice matters a lot We want everyone to feel welcome and happy here. That means accepting and celebrating our differences We all have different stories and ideas, and it's essential to respect and learn from each other
Listening to each other and understanding different points of view is super important By doing this, we can learn about ourselves and how others see the world We, as teachers and students, need to make sure that everyone feels safe sharing their thoughts and feelings. It's not just about saying we care; it's about showing it through what we do every day.
But making our school a welcoming place isn't just about talking it's about doing things together It's about treating each other with kindness, breaking down walls that separate us, and learning from one another Let's promise to make our school a place where everyone feels like they belong, where being different is awesome, and where all voices are heard and respected
"Academically, they rely on their own abilities and expertise. They are creative children who will be successful someday."
“Academically Speaking: they learned the fondest way Pupils tend to learn but tends to ignore learning. For they forgot the true essence of learning its applying what they’ve learned ”
“ Nowadays, technology has made learning easier that pupils tend to be more interested, innovative, creative and globally competitive However, if they will be misguided with how it will be used and applied, this sometimes lead them to nothingness and frustration.”
In the mainstream teaching-learning process, children make use of expressing their comprehension of the lessons through different ways They bear more information, knowledge and skills when operating, surfing and researching. This makes them more expose on the use of technology without any restrictions As a teacher gearing with 21st century skills, being an IDEALIST is not bad at all because we ought to race after on their vast ideas

In a proud moment for the Mohon Elementary School, its dedicated teachers Mrs. Aileen K. Sabio (WINS Coordinator) and Mrs. Alma T. Resuma (School In- charge) were honored with the prestigious 3 Stars Award for their outstanding contribution as WINS awardee The recognition ceremony, held at Chali Beach Resort last December 23, 2023, celebrated the exemplary efforts of MOES educators in fostering positive changes and driving excellence within the Division of Misamis Oriental.
The WINS program, designed to enhance the overall quality of education which focuses to the continuous improvement of the learning environment MOES teachers stood out for their unwavering commitment to these principles, earning them the welldeserved 3 Stars Award
The award ceremony was attended by education officials, community leaders, and proud awardees who applauded the teachers' dedication to providing quality education. Division Superintendent Dr. Edilberto Oplenaria commended the MOES teaching community for the recognition received
Mohon Elementary School is lucky enough to have been the very first school to conduct first aid and basic life support training for teachers among all the elementary schools in the district of Tagoloan This was made possible by the untiring support of the ever-active Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management of the Municipality of Tagoloan, headed by Mr Jonathan Paulo Del Rosario
The said training was conducted on
MOES School In- charge Mrs. Alma T. Resuma expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the collaborative spirit that drives the school's success "This award is a reflection of the collective efforts of our teachers, staff, and students We believe in continuous improvement, and this acknowledgment encourages us to strive for even greater heights in education," said Mrs. Alma T. Resuma.
September 16, 2023, and was a one-day activity. The team was composed of 5 personnel, headed by their LDRRM Officer 2, Mr. Randolph Pormento
The MDRRM Team discussed the fundamentals of first aid, which Mam Trinia Chung elaborated on The most important part of it, which is CPR, also known as cardiopulmonary resuscitation They also taught the teacher how to safely use the fire extinguishers during fire situations At the end of the day, teachers have their simulation exercises, which everyone has completed successfully
Trash is dirty, left over and unusable material. As befits the phrase, it's also a terrible insult for worthless, low-status individuals: "I should've known you were nothing but trash" Trash talking refers to harshly criticizing or spreading rumors about someone. Trash is also a verb that can mean "throw away," as in "I'm going to trash this trash in that trash can over there." So in this world full of trash, can trash be turned into cash despite being unwanted? Can you?
As our world becomes increasingly mired by the garbage produce also by increasing number of individuals, waste management and reduction has become a struggle to every household And our school is non-exemption to that. With the mighty minds working behind the Section 32 of RA 9003 that mandates the establishment of Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in every barangay or cluster of barangays, our school snatched the opportunity to make a profit out of it. Instead of throwing away everyday items like scrap papers, scrap metal, and used plastic bottles, we weigh, and sell our waste that has been sorted in the MRF. Viola! Easy money it is The income from it although not a six digit amount, can still cover some of our school’s immediate necessities Also, if I may add, that is one of the many reasons MOES received a “Cleanest School Award”
Indeed, it was never a doubt that unwanted things can still be useful, it just need someone to look into its bright side to discover the magic to it.
A school is a place for children from all walks of life to come together to learn and grow the various parts that he or she may need to develop; physically, emotionally, cognitively, socially, and emotionally.
Learning is full of unexpected turns. Going to school for the first time is a totally new experience for a child who has spent nearly two years at home due to the pandemic It's a fresh experience for her/him because the atmosphere is so different. The first day of school is an experience for which you have prepared. They, along with their parents, must not be forgotten Everyone's memories of it is still fresh August 29, 2023 On this day, children all across the Philippines awoke early in the morning. They started towards their new school or went to their old school to look for old acquaintances and peers.
Honestly, my first day in school has always been very great and wonderful Even the most of the school children knows me here in this school being a lovely and cheerful school child
Will you be giving someone a tree for Christmas? DepEd intends to give students a gift for a cleaner, greener, and healthier future in this manner as a Christmas present.
Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 69, s. 2023, titled Guidelines on the Implementation of the Project "DepEd's 236,000 Trees: A Christmas Gift for Children,” the Mohon Elementary School selected pupils and teachers together with our school head to support the tree planting activity.
Planting trees can increase the resilience of ecosystems, help minimize climate change effects, and buy people and governments time to adjust to changing conditions The presence also of trees and greenery especially in schools, parks, and neighbourhoods supports children's development, learning and focus.
It was started by requesting seedlings from the Department of Agriculture a week prior to the activity, and we then set up tree guards for the safety of the seedlings and the planting location. Further, we planted six seedlings composed of guyabano, jackfruit, and Chinese talisay on December 6, 2023, at precisely 9 a.m., on the day of simultaneous plant tree activity, which was primarily in the area around our school campus
Planting trees isn't just about sticking them in the ground As teachers, we need to show students how to take care of these baby trees until they grow up. Trees are super important because they give us food and oxygen, stuff we really need to live. On top of that, they do lots of other good things for us. Basically, trees are crucial for all living things to survive
So let's make the world a better place by planting a tree!

Best buddy, the one you needed the most while you were sad, alone, or dealing with a difficulty in your life You have a problem to share with someone who can make you laugh and soothe you A friend who understands your personality and attitude. A friend who notices your sadness and is concerned about your actions A friend who does not believe in rumours and what others say about you, and instead of believing in others, believes in you first, regardless of what it is, but those honest words, not the lies in your head
When a friendship lasts a long time, there is no one to fall back on, and this is the problem that might ruin the friendship when your feelings are not mutual and the buddy who can't accept your sentiments When you fall in love, there's no turning back to being simply a buddy, is there? No, you do not have to abandon the friendship simply because you have feelings for him/her You can withstand the agony and it will fade away, but the remorse you feel within will linger longer, leading to sadness and tension.
You should treat him/her as a friend in the same way that he/she treats you since friendships survive longer than lovers. A friend who can inspire you to achieve your goals in life Friendship with those who can listen to your difficulties and assist you solve them Oh! There is a struggle in friendship, but you must understand it since we may learn from the challenges we face, especially mistakes that are not repeated Friendship is the best ship of all.

The aroma of the woods transports me back in time. The grasshoppers we used to catch remind me of elementary school. The trees we planted are now growing, as are the aspirations we've created here. I may be attending a great institution, but I will always pine for my Alma Mater. We feel relaxed and refreshed at Mohon Elementary School. There were many trees before, and we can see how different school looks now. There are numerous classrooms as well as a new cover court.

Mohon Elementary School is one of the best locations in the community for active and formal learning It protects the society's unique culture, heritage, and values while also encouraging and developing the child's personality and intellectual capacity.
Above all, Mohon Elementary School equips children to address societal concerns. As a learning centre, it also prepares kids to tackle future problems in order to meet their basic needs.
Mohon Elementary School was the final elementary school to open in the municipality of Tagoloan to meet the demands of the students It is situated on a one-hectare plot of ground adjacent to Linde Phils , previously Southern Gases Phils., Inc. Hey there, future scientists! Let's dive into a big topic – water pollution Imagine you're at your favorite beach or a cool river, but something's not right. That's what water pollution is – when yucky stuff gets into the water and messes it up.
So, why is this a big deal? Well, water pollution is like giving a tough time to all the underwater buddies – fish, plants, and even the tiny microbes They can't live happily when the water is full of garbage, chemicals, or icky things.
So,nexttimeyou'renearastream,thinkabouthow awesomeitwouldbetokeepitsparklingcleanfor everyoneunderwater
But guess what? We can be the heroes! By not throwing trash into rivers and lakes and being careful about what goes down our drains, we can keep the water clean It's like being a guardian of the aquatic world! So, next time you're near a stream, think about how awesome it would be to keep it sparkling clean for everyone underwater. Let's make sure our water stays as pure as it should be!
And hey, did you know that clean water isn't just good for underwater buddies? It's awesome for us too! Clean water means we get to enjoy swimming, fishing, and all the cool things water has to offer. So, let's team up and make sure our water is the best it can be for everyone – underwater and above!
As a pupil, diving into the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) feels like exploring uncharted territory The cool part? AI can be like a magical study buddy, helping me understand things better. It's like having a tutor that knows exactly how I learn. Lessons become more like personalized quests, making learning a game I want to win.
But, hold up, there's a flip side. Some worry that AI might steal the spotlight from our human connections. Learning isn't just about facts; it's about the friends we make and understanding feelings. Also, there's this privacy thing – AI needs our info to work, but we gotta make sure it keeps our secrets safe So, while AI adds some high-tech flair to school, we need to make sure it doesn't steal the show from the real-life stuff that makes learning awesome

Why is it so awesome? Well, not only does it help everyone get fitter, but it also brings people together. Students, parents, and teachers all moving and grooving – it's like a big, happy exercise family. They're encouraging everyone to join in, make Zumba a part of their daily routine, and keep the healthy vibes going strong!
Hey buddies! Today, let's talk about something important – Dengue It's like a tricky bug that can make us feel not-so-great, but don't worry, we've got ways to keep it away!
Dengue comes from mosquito bites, and those tiny creatures love hanging around places with water. So, here's the deal – no water, no mosquitoes! Make sure there's no standing water in flower pots, buckets, or anywhere around your home. That's like giving mosquitoes a 'no entry' sign.
And guess what? Long sleeves and mosquito repellent are like superhero outfits! When you're out playing or exploring, wear long sleeves and put on some mosquito repellent It's like having a shield against those pesky mosquitoes
So, remember, keep your surroundings dry, wear your superhero gear, and let's kick Dengue away. We've got this! Stay safe, explorers!
