n a gorgeous night under a glowing purple tent at Riverside Yacht Club, 450 guests came out to support Celebrating Hope, the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter’s sixth annual benefit. The evening was led by cochairs Brooke Bohnsack and Cristin Marandino and the leadership team of Ginge Cabrera, Jamie Eisenberg, Lexi Kennedy, Courtney Montgomery, Nancy Ozizmir, Jeffrey Ruden and Amy Zolin. Broadway star Abby Mueller (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Kinky Boots), along with composer Beth Styles, debuted the song “Life is Beautiful.” The song, written by Styles, draws from interviews with early-onset Alzheimer’s victims about the challenges of living with the disease. Guests also enjoyed silent and live auctions, a Golden Ticket Raffle and dancing to What up Funk! The event raised $550,000, which will fund research and support services. alz.org »
