

The educational travel opportunities at Moeller are a true manifestation of our REALearning philosophy. Students actively live their learning, with the world as their classroom.
Educational travel fosters personal growth by exposing individuals to new environments, challenges, and perspectives - in a supportive and structured context to better nurture lifelong skills qualities like curiosity, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity. Our purpose-driven trips cultivate meaningful relationships through shared experiences and collaborative learning, promoting teamwork, empathy, and effective communication skills And, these opportunities embody experiential learning, allowing students to apply knowledge in real-world contexts, while making lifelong memories.
We offer trips ranging from a few nights up to five weeks, with a variety of focuses, destinations, and experiences - so there is something for everyone Students are encouraged to take advantage of the variety of programs we offer. In most cases, academic credit is possible, and financial aid may also be available.
Moeller’s domestic and international trips combine travel with structured learning experiences to enhance knowledge and cultural understanding.
Immersion travel focuses on integration and engagement with a local community to better understand cultural experiences and beliefs Students live in and work with locals. We offer shortterm group-based immersion programs with Moeller staff, and longer term exchange programs where students travel and live more independently
Growing from the Marianist charism, Moeller service trips involve actively participation in community service projects or religious missions, aiming to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

This 4-day college tour is Moeller’s ticket to the intersection of innovation and entertainment in Southern California Students will dive into higher education with tours of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), California Institute of Technology (Caltech), and Chapman University The itinerary provides behind-the-scenes access to two of the region's biggest industries: Hollywood, via the Warner Bros Studio Backlot Tour, and space science, with a potential tour of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) This tour provides unique experiences to combine STEM and entertainment - and the college insights that can help to inform careers in those industries

We work in cooperation with Christians for Peace in El Salvador (CRISPAZ ) CRISPAZ has been operating “encounter programs” since 1984 CRISPAZ is a Christian faith-based organization dedicated to mutual accompaniment with the church of the poor and marginalized communities in El Salvador This program will offer a unique understanding of the reality of life in El Salvador, the role of the United States in Latin America, and a time for reflection on the responsibilities of the Christian in relationship with the poor

Earn 35 gold service hours while making a difference at a magical 89-acre resort in Kissimmee, Florida, providing cost-free Make-A-Wish vacations for children with critical illnesses and their families
Students will work 1-2 shifts daily (7:30 a m – 12:00 p m or 5:00 p m – 10:30 p m ) in fun roles like hosting games, serving ice cream, running rides, delivering cookies, taking photos, or leading STEM activities in the “WonderLab” With more than 50 volunteer positions, there’s something for everyone! Located in Joppa Mountain, outside of Knoxville, Tennessee, Glenmary Mission is an organization that works to be the hands and feet of Christ for people experiencing poverty in Appalachia
Students will have the opportunity to run a day camp for kids who live near the mission and who work as farmers during the day In the evenings, there will be prayer, reflection, and visiting local families
While service is the foundation of the program, it also strives to develop community and to deepen faith through the context of shared experiences It aims to broaden volunteers’ understanding of the causes of poverty, oppression and injustice and how their life choices can impact these issues

We will spend a week in Antigua, Guatemala The main goal of our time there is to build a home for a family in need We partner with a wonderful organization, ImagininGuatemala, whose mission is Guatemalans helping Guatemalans live better lives through providing housing, food and water support, educational resources, and health services to those in need While the work we do is important, you also have an opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich culture of Guatemala We will have experiences of living with hostfamilies, taking in the sights, hiking a volcano, learning about the history and culture of Antigua, and enjoying the local food offerings

A true exchange program, Moeller students host Irish high school students for three weeks, then later themselves spend three weeks in at St Laurence College in Loughlinstown, Ireland

“This unique experience provides students with the opportunity to complete a Marianist LIFE pilgrimage to Honolulu Participants will meet, pray with, and learn from their Marianist brothers at St Louis HS in Honolulu Learning outcomes would include immersion in Hawaiian/Polynesian culture, experience with and prayer through the Liturgy of the Hours (Lauds, Vespers, Compline), and exposure to the pace and realities of pilgrimage, even when not done over long distances walked

Students will learn about Indigenous America by travelling to the first and largest of the Reservations in the US. They will travel in and around the Navajo Nation to see historical and cultural sites, as well as the topography and ecology of the land. They will also volunteer with some of the agencies who address some of the challenges of “Rez Life.”

Nazareth Farm is a Catholic community in rural West Virginia that transforms lives through a serviceretreat experience The organization is devoted to living out the Gospel message through the cornerstones of community, simplicity, prayer, and service

West End, Cincinnati
The experience is defined by issues of urban poverty and homelessness. Students will work with people and non-profits in the West End and Over-the-Rhine, who are kind and hospitable. Despite its proximity to home, students will be expected to fully immerse themselves.
Get to know Cincinnati neighborhoods in a new, empathetic way
Work with various community organizations to deepen understanding of root causes of social issues in our city
Moeller students interested in meeting and serving neighbors, exploring the root causes of poverty and growing spiritually through service and friendship

Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania
Located in East Africa, Tanzania is known for its natural beauty, including Mount Kilimanjaro and Serengeti National Park Tanzania is one of the safest countries in Africa; the Tanzanians are known for their kindness and hospitality; and English is commonly spoken language These factors make Tanzania an attractive tourist destination. Unfortunately, Tanzania’s gorgeous landscapes are in stark contrast with the poverty and suffering the Tanzanians experience daily Many of these people live in rural areas which are disconnected from urban centers, financial opportunities, and adequate infrastructure Despite adverse conditions, these people remain hopeful, welcome you without questions, and continue to be faith filled Christians You’ll get to know the wonderful Tanzanian people through multiple service opportunities. Experiencing the contrast to of life in Tanzania to that of your own will truly reframe your perspective

A true exchange program, Moeller students spend five weeks in Zaragoza Spain, in January through February, and later host a Spanish student in Cincinnati for five weeks in August through October This program builds on the long-term relationship with Marianist sister school Santa Maria de Pillar in Zaragoza

The Graduated Senior Class trip is held every year in mid-June after graduation, and is open to any graduated senior. This educational travel experience provides a number of amazing opportunities for learning more about the world. The trip is a balance of educational and active experiences varying from attending the Papal audience, the Sistine Chapel and Colosseum in Rome to hiking the Amalfi Coast and rafting in Tuscany.
Over 2000 students have participated in the senior alumni trip over the last thirty years. It is an amazing way to end four great years with some of their classmates. It also introduces them to the many learning opportunities of global travel. As a result of this trip, many students are motivated to participate in college study abroad programs.
