Hard work, dedication and practice By Lonna Kingsbury Contributor

Moeller's golf team has had a good run but in their match against Bishop-Waters, it just was not their time. Beaten by four strokes -- averaging out to one stroke per man Bishop Watterson just pulled a little better that last day. Head Coach Rick Bohne's men had one goal, to win State. But, it was not to be...this time. "Of course they were disappointed, but a week has gone by and now they realized what they've accomplished," said Bohne. With this year being the highest ranking for Moeller after placing fifth, third and second, there is only one place left to go for them up (or down if you consider the strokes). "We've had a terrific season, it's definitely one the kids will rem ember and it's just nice to have kids not only good as golfers but as well-rounded individuals who represent the school so welL As Bohne has pointed out throughout the season, within his 18 years coaching Moeller, his team could not be where they are today without his great assistant coaches: Mike Cassity, Dan Dunlap, Ron Roth and Scott Sweeney. ·~I've stated before, the dedication of our players and our parents, the tradition of the program, the support we get from our school community -- that's what makes it work.
