We are an independent children’s film distributor committed to high-quality entertainment. We are a small team, primarily women, and we are passionate about multimedia arts. Our experience as organizers of My Very First Festival (an International Children’s Film Festival in Barcelona and Madrid) has led us to discover an alternative cinematographic panorama for young viewers.

Since the creation of Rita & Luca Films in 2015, we have spent years seeking out short, animated gems from around the world to bring them home and share them with viewers throughout Spain. This work has enabled us to create a catalogue with more than thirty titles carefully selected for children from 2 to 12 years old. Charming, tender and enjoyable films to promote positive values and feel empowered.

Rita & Luca Films is committed to films that go beyond contemporary commercial aesthetics: we offer unforgettable experiences through carefully selected artistic and educational feature films and artisanal animated short film programmes, brought together under a common thematic thread. We believe in the power of cinema to delight young and old alike and to help teach new generations about artistic sensitivity and critical spirit. And maybe, even, to create new lovers of the seventh art!
