In less than two months devson is to hand over his duties As his first duty was to meet the people,which saw him travelling across the country's major cities visiting media houses educating people about what the title is about. Devson also conducted some Charity work alongside with other models. In fight against the Covid 19 pandemic,Mister Zimbabwe conducted an encouraging campaign to the country not to give up in fight against the pandemic. In support of health,King Luzane launched a fitness programme which is broadcasted at ZTV . Back to his modelling career,Devson has been a commercial model this year for a number of companies such includes Edgar's and Jet. He also managed to sign a number of contracts as brand ambassador for different brands. In an exclusive interview with the cofounder of Mister Zimbabwe,Mercy Mushaninga . Described Devson Luzane as a hard-working and humble model. She also stated out that,Mister Zimbabwe has proven that the modelling talent does not only exist in the capital or in the city of Kings and Queens only. "Devson has been pushing his brand,he has been out there despite his geographic location .You can feel as if he is in Harare or even Bulawayo or all over Zimbabwe. "He has been in contact with us,in Harare and he makes sure that he visits us above all he had to make an extra push not that other former Mister Zimbabwe didn't,"she explained. -By Rubaya Tapiwa

f Mister Zimbabwe pageant was giving it's Kings an opportunity to be reigning for ever . Devson would be one of the Kings who will be in power for a very long time,this is due to his work within the community and being humble. However he (Devson) and the pageant organisers believe in giving others an opportunity to shine and showcase their talent to the world. Devson became the fourth male Zimbabwe model,to be crowned Mister Zimbabwe. However he became the first Pageantry King. His journey faced a number of challenges due to the economy and the Covid 19 pandemic . However the two couldn't block the King to conduct his duties. P A G E

eet Anorld Tanaka Tagwira (AT),a young model from the city of Kings and Queens who is a newbie in the modelling sector.In an interview with model guide,we get to know some of his favourite music and also get to know his top 5 favourite fashion designers that he hopes to work with. TR:Hie Can you introduce yourself to our readers... AT:My name is Arnold Tanaka Tagwira and im from CFM (City's Favourite Model) agency.

AT:Arnold is from Bulawayo aka the City of Kings hence I am a King with a Royal blood (giggles) ,born and raised there ,currently pursuing a bachelor of honors degree in politics and public administration at Great Zimbabwe University , I'm 22 years of age.
TR:What makes you,unique when comparing to some other models in the industry? AT:Iam fearless ,i stay true to myself because clients and agents notice a confident, focused model who is a pleasure to work with, who delivers and who is professional.
TR:Your top 5 fashion houses you would like to work with? AT.Top 5 fashion houses would be: The Gentlemen's Kloset ,Tapfumanei ,Loza Maleombho ,The Weltheguy and Imane Ayissi.
TR:What is the most important thing you like about modelling? AT:Well i get to express myself through art and the way I present myself .
TR: Your career inspiration? AT.My career is inspired by Francis Okpolo and Alpha Dia.

Currently only four models have successfully been holders of the title Mister Zimbabwe. Rish Verma (Harare);Shadel Noble (Bulawayo) ;Byron Mulinga (Harare) and the outgoing Mister Zimbabwe,Devson Luzane (Gweru) . It hasn't been easy journey for the four Kings to climb up the ladder and be recognized as Mister Zimbabwe. In the past 3 years,the Mister Zimbabwe title has been done through ordination,where by the winner is selected by voters of the People's choice which is a category in Zimbabwe Model's Awards . Which was criticised by some members of the public,however last year . The organisers of the pageant created a platform that will allow contests to catwalk throughout the ramp and be questioned on why they should be appointed Mister Zimbabwe . In an interview with one of the co-founders of the pageant ,Mercy Mushaninga ,she stated out that it hasn't been easy to be patron of a male pageant. As few or no sponsorships are done compared to the female pageants. She said most people who organise,male pageants they finance every activity of the event from their pocket and heart. Mercy further explained that,there will be People's choice and the judges choice . The judges choice assist the judges to learn about the person's character. When questioned about he benefits of being Mister Zimbabwe,her words wrapped up one word 'Exposure'. "You have seen from all the Kings ,that we have crowned that they have managed to get endorsed from different brands.

Devson has been a fitness trainer for some time,the minute he was crowned he became exposed and don't forget they pushed their own brands. International brand "Zargue'sia" release their spring/summer 2021 collection
'The Royal Remnants' is the latest collection to be released by the Multi Award winning International fashion house,Zargue'sia,in Botswana. In an exclusive interview with the brand,founder Ishmael Tsakatsa,who provided insights about the collection's origins. We also get to know how the Zargue'sia brand is reaching out to it's clients,during the Covid 19 pandemic. TR:2020 has been one of the worst years for many across the world . What definition can you give to describe 2020.... IT:2020 was a tough challenge. TR:You were meant to showcase in Botswana this year however due to Covid the show was cancelled,how did that affected your brand? IT:It was a bit of a setback but it was postponed and to the 16th of October and we managed to do a digital showcase in Botswana. TR:Besides the show you are regarded as one of the most successful designers in Zimbabwe. Can you share with us some of your success this year as a brand? P A G E

IT:The brand has received global recognition in different parts of the world as well as invitations to different platforms abroad. Our clientele continues to grow and we are tapping into new markets as well. TR:Ishmael ,Spring/Summer is already upon us,you releasing your s/s 20/21 collection.Can you give us an insight of the collection ?
IT:It is a very bold and daring dramatic collection from the color palette and designs of the pieces TR:Just like many brands that have been affected by the Covid 19 pandemic lockdowns.What are your major plans in making sure you going back to where you where? IT:As a brand we are strategizing on taking advantage of digital marketing and online shopping for our soon to be opened online store that will be shipping worldwide and catering for clients across the globe TR:What words do you have to your clients who have support your brand in the past years,especially this year during the Covid 19 pandemic? IT: I would like to say thank you for your loyalty and we are grateful for standing and supporting us in such difficult times.
IT:“The Royal Remnants� Spring/Summer 2021 A collection inspired by a story of a woman who went into exile and hiding in order to protect her children from slaughter by her enemies. Many years later, the children reappeared with boldness, power and authority to repossess their inheritance.

At least 27 designers exhibited their collections on an online fashion show,SA Fashion Week at The Mall of Africa. Among those designers that took part in the show is Gert-Johan Coetzee,who showcased his latest Couture and ready to wear range at the first ever SA FW Biannual collections. Other Designers who showcased their collections during the #tentwentytwenty fashion show included:Rubicon,Judith Atelier,Helon Melon, Research Unit,Mmuso Maxwell. When it comes to Gert Johan Coetzee's collection ,what stood out for many of the audiance was his gigantic bow. Which some of his material had his name printed on the fabric .Black ,Blue and white are the major colours that he used. One of the major things that one can
spot,from his collection all his models who represented his brand were sheathed from finger-tip to toe wearing lyrca gloves or stocking . This was a symbolism of protection from airbone threats. The collection is released at a time when the world if fight the Covid 19 pandemic.

2020 has been the most difficult year when it comes to the fashion and modelling industry .
This was due to the Covid 19 pandemic,which has affected the world and placed the world into lockdown. Creating an atmosphere for activities such as fashion shows and gatherings to be cancelled and others to be postponed . Financial the industry has also been crippled as non activities took part the industry hence no income was generated . However a number of fashion lovers kept the industry going.

In the world of male models,Ben Chest;Liam Hall;Tino Chinyani;Ray Motsi;Devson Luzane;Jimmy Mhlanga;Ishmael Murangandi are some of the names that dominated this year's modelling sector.
Ben Chest had casted in various music videos for example JP's music videos and Tammy Moyo. He also got re-nominated for the #BAAzw2020 under Outstanding Male Model Award. While Liam Hall a photogenic model,trended due to his Photogenic pictures ,as well as his nomination at the Roil #BAAZw2020. Liam worked with Snaz and Bulawayo Arts Awards Nominee, Sozinio Jordao. The term fashion can't exist without,the Designers being stated, many designers changed sides and thought of focusing in creating masks this year which was a positive move . As they were play their part in saving the world. However some created masks and on the other hand they continued launching exclusive collections. The International fashion house,Zargue'sia,founded by Ishmael Tsakatsa is one of the best fashion house ranked in the country.Designing 8 stunning dresses for his clients,who made his garments to be the talk of the NAMA's red carpet this year,was his first move of the year . Who will forget his opening year collection. At the moment he recently released his latest collection,'The Royal Remnants',is being viewed as one of the best collections ever to be released in Zimbabwe this year by fashion lovers . The International brand was suppose to present one of their collections in Botswana this year,however due to Covid 19 the show was conducted digital where he presented his collection and is expected to present it in Malawi.

The Zargue'sia brand was not the only male fashion house,which dominated in the industry this year. Sozinio Jordao a fashion house whose,roots are traced from the city of Kings and Queens aka Bulawayo. The brand has been designing for the Queens in the city Royal Kingdom of Bulawayo and also outside the boundaries of the Province. One of its major trend this year,was the garment which was worn by Zimbabwe's male model Liam Hall. The Sozinio Jordao is nominated at the #RoilBAAzw 2020 awards and many believe it is the winner of the gong. From the Sunshine City of Harare,the Ivhu tribe, keeps Shining across Africa as it continued this year in it's use of it's costumes in telling unique African stories. One of their major costumes are the ones which this year,Vimbai Zimuto wore. Without the role of photographers ,we won't be able to visual see our favourite models and the work done by the designers .

This year #Puzzlemoment, a brand from Bulawayo stood out for many. Founded by a young gentlemen who goes by the name Ricky whom many prefer to call him the 'King of Photograph' . This year was his year as, a photographer as everyone in and outside the fashion world, in all the four corners of the country wanted to work with his brand . One of his most trended shoots,was the one which he conducted for the come back of Sandra Ndebele. The pictures went viral,on all social media platforms.
Last but not least,before the country went into a national lockdown,due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Anesu Mhembere aka Minister Whitelinen,who is the co-founder of the Dandy Gentlemen Zimbabwe,hosted the first ever Dandy Gentlemen Zimbabwe show. The show was hosted in Harare and in the second capital city of the country . Due to the Covid 19 pandemic,organisers of the event had to cancel the event which was scheduled to be hosted in Gweru . The Dandy Gentlemen Zimbabwe event,involved gentlemen who wore their vintage wear across the town and also conferences which are meant to discuss more about grooming. Who is Your 2020ROILBAAZW MALE MODEL OF THE YEAR ?
The Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards are back again for the 4th time and the nominees are already out. Many have been cracking their minds and debates have been made on who will be part of the nominees, especially for the 'Outstanding Male Model of The Year'. Article by Tapiwa Rubaya
Several names came out from the public,and some of those that dominated conversations in the streets came out in the list and these are Liam Hall,Ben Chest and Jimmy Mhlanga . We take a look at the trio,what they have been up to this year. Ben Chest aka Bernard Ndlovu is currently the outgoing Mister Zimbabwe's brand ambassador a title which he won last year during Mister Zimbabwe Pageantry. He has also dominated in commercial adverts and not forgetting the casting that he made,in videos that where shot by multi award winning artists Jah Prayzah,Tammy Moyo and other artist . Ben is also he contender of the Outstanding Male Model Award. Another aspiring winner is Jimmy Mhlanga,runway and commercial model. Mostly viewed by many as one of the sexiest male model in the city. Some of his fans had hoped him to have been part of the nominees,from the first day the #RoilBaazw Awards were established. Jimmy has appeared in a number of commercial adverts, currently he has migrated to South Africa. He has worked with South Africa Fashion Houses such as He also has been trending on social media over his photogenic pictures. Palse -SA S/S 2020 collection . Lastly,Liam Hall whose Photogenic photos always trend on social media and tell parables stories. Liam has worked with a number of fashion designers in the city of King and Queens. Including the #RoilBAAzw nominee Sozinio and Onai,Sanz and Half Shadow.One of his most trended pictures was the one that he wore a garment which was designed by Sozinio and Onai. In an interview with one designer based in the city of Bulawayo,he said this year's Roil BAAzw Awards' outstanding male model awards nominees are all big names in the industry,which is going to be difficult to make a decision on whom to vote for as the trio are not just big brands but family. While legendary model,Mercy Mushaninga echoed the same words that the trio are legends in the industry and they all deserve the nomination who have their own strengths in the industry. SANZ DEFEATS OTHER FASHION BRANDS . In a competition to determine who is the best fashion designer,which was among 10 designers . Which then ended up having at least 7 designers and among the number seven only one derived from the City of Kings and Queen ,SANZ . The brand which was established a year ago,by Sandile Ngwenya was announced as the winner of the night on the 17th of this month ,during the event which was organised by Tatenda Karinda a fashion enthusiastic and founder of Fashion Fusion . Who described the designs of SANZ as unique and hence he believes the brand ,deserved to be the winner .He also appreciated the work done by other designers. "To the designers who showcased I would like to say keep it up and always be on your A game we need to creative and unique as Zimbabwe as a family and put our selves on the African Map. "To the Winners at SANZ the uniqueness you showed was out of this world,keep it up,"he said. SANZ is yet to receive her gong from the Sunshine City of Harare . Tatenda said they are working as a team for a Christmas Fashion show along with their partner's from Mozambique. The designs were tasked to present five types of designs:Sports wear,Summer Wear,Retro/Vintage and their own selected garment . Part of the judges of the night were :Anesu Mhembere ,Taylor Lorraine,Anita Kubie ,Vesna Mutasa. FEEL COMFORTABLE AND CONFIDENCE WITH ,'HOUSE OF BASIL' UNDEAWEAR LINE 'Fashion has been part of my identity for the past 15 years..' For the past 15 years,Leroy Marc's life has been surrounded by fashion,one of his dreams was to launch his own fashion brand. He and his business partner Billy
Bokako, co-founded the brand (House of Basil),which aims to change the lives of African men by providing comfort and confidence in their lives. The roots of the underwear line 'House of Basil' are traced from the conversation that Leroy and his business partner had ,conducted about underwear lines that

are in the fashion industry and if those that are available in the fashion world, are comfortable for African men. Also the expenses one can face from purchasing them abroad from Africa. After that conversation they then brainstormed and gave birth to an exclusive brand,'House Of Basil', in honour of Billy Bokako's uncle. "House of Basil is named after my business partner's uncle who is very passionate and inspiring when it comes to fashion . Hence he inspired us to create a brand,clothing for men,who are confident and are into style,"informed Leroy. The product's of the brand are all manufactured in South Africa,also the product's are mainly created to connect with African gentlemen from all four corners of Africa. "Apart from being locally developed and locally created all our material and labour is done in South Africa in the SADC region . What sets our underwear-line apart,is that we have deeply created a line that speaks to gentlemen in Africa and outside the region,"said Leroy . He further explained that,the underwear that is made up of Premium fabrics,which play the role of comfort . And they purchased their,fabrics in Capetown and Durban . "The first fabric (printed fabric) was sourced in Durban,it took us two trips to Durban to search for the fabric. Let the wisdom speaks for you! What do you know? What kind of information are you carrying inside of your head? Take note of this, you will never excel beyond your capacity because every decision you are going to make is based on the depth of your knowledge. Before you say something ask yourself this question in your heart that "what l am about to say is it worthy to share to the next person." Just because the intellectual of a man is measured by what comes out from his or her mouth. In simple words, you are by what you say. Words are very powerful. There carry much weight to such an extent that it can motivate the broken souls, bring peace or love among the people. According to the bible, there is a scripture which says that life and death is in the tongue. So, what does it mean? Everytime you are opening your mouth to say something you are neither building or destroying something. Train yourself to be a good speaker. Wisely, choose good words when you are talking. Reckless talking is a sign of lacking wisdom. There are a lot of successful people in this world. I mean big boys of the towns. There is a greater possiblity one of them can be your friend or mentor. What keeps your relationship tight is your ability of your communication skills. Communication is part of our daily life. It is invertible to run away from it. It might be over the phone , computer or face to face ~ know how to talk. And do not take it lightly because the way you talk can bring shame or honor on you. How do you give value on your idea when you present it to other people? Are you able to control your temper when someone provokes you? How do you oppose someone's idea in such a way that it does not offend the next person? What kind of words comes out from your mouth when you are facing a tough challenge?
