Our Firm
Moalem Weitemeyer is a leading Corporate M&A Law Firm
Moalem
It is very unusual that two transactions of this magnitude and complexity happen in the Danish market, and it is even more unusual for one firm to be involved in both. We are very pleased and grateful that Moalem Weitemeyer is that firm.
Moalem Weitemeyer’s key 2024 milestone was implementing our #NextLevel strategy with the help of all our employees and partners.
We embarked on a mission to get the entire organization moving in the same direction at the same time. We have achieved a lot during 2024. But we still have many more steps ahead of us. It is encouraging as well as comforting that we are taking these steps together. In teams. And as a Firm.
2024 was also the year that the Firm advised on the two largest ever M&A transactions in Denmark, valued at almost EUR 30 billion in total; Catalent Pharma Solutions’ sale to the Novo Group and DSV’s acquisition of DB Schenker.
It is very unusual that two transactions of this magnitude and complexity happen in the Danish market, and it is even more unusual for one firm to be involved in both. We are very pleased and grateful that Moalem Weitemeyer is that firm.
In 2024, we grew our team with new colleagues, and we welcomed several outstanding partners.
Lennart Meyer Østenfjeld rejoined our Firm as Partner in our Corporate Finance practice after a period obtaining valuable insights from working with a leading Nordic financial institution.
Sebastian Christmas Poulsen joined our Firm to lead our new Family Offices & Private Clients practice, bringing extensive expertise in family and foundation-owned businesses.
Jacob Bier, one of Denmark’s foremost Corporate Finance experts, joined our partnership and board of directors, and Andreas Clement joined as Head of our Real Estate M&A practice.
In April 2025, we will welcome Esben Kjær to the partnership, and with him more lawyers and a new strategic focus on Energy & Infrastructure. Esben Kjær will add more depth to our Energy & Infrastructure practice and will bring regulatory, project development, and transactional capabilities and client relationships to the Firm.
In 2024, we added Defence & Cybersecurity to our areas of expertise with a particular focus on transactions and regulatory matters.
We understand the critical importance of complying with security regulations and export controls. Our deep industry knowledge and robust network enable us to deliver innovative solutions that drive successful outcomes for our clients in the Defence & Cybersecurity sector.
We launched this year’s #NextLevel strategy work by going off-site.
Each department spent two full days together out of the office, delving into the Firm’s strategy, their team’s goals and the milestones needed to reach them.
Delivering on our #NextLevel strategy has required dedication and focus.
It has required transparency from the partnership as well as accountability from every person at our Firm.
We have already taken many small steps together in the same direction. We will continue this journey. This year and going forward.
This is how we reach Moalem Weitemeyer’s #NextLevel goals in 2025 and beyond.
Our Firm reached unprecedented heights in 2024, marking our financially most successful year to date.
Our gross profits and revenue increased with 16%.
This is an all-time high achievement for Moalem Weitemeyer.
Our achievements are a testament to our employees’ and partners’ unwavering commitment to excellence and to the trust that our clients and international law firm relationships continue to place in us.

Growth was also the theme for Duett Software Group, a portfolio company of Axcel-KKR, as it took deliberate steps to reinforce its market position across the Nordics. We were there to guide the transaction, ensuring that every piece of the puzzle fit together seamlessly in support of Duett Software Group’s ambitious expansion strategy.

We took significant steps forward in our commitment to leveraging advanced technology to deliver exceptional value to our clients. By entering into a collaboration with a cutting-edge legal AI solution provider in 2024, our attorneys were able to focus more on problemsolving and delivering outstanding legal services to our clients.
At Moalem Weitemeyer, we have cherished relationships with law firms and clients around the world.
With our extensive global network, we refer and receive regular international referrals from other leading law firms, fostering collaboration and facilitating the exchange of knowledge.
Our foreign colleagues and business partners have continued to place their trust in us by referring cases to our Firm, corresponding to 15% of our revenue in 2024.
This trust was not established overnight; it is the result of dedicated efforts to cultivate and maintain lasting partnerships, and we are truly grateful for their confidence in us.
We train our attorneys to operate internationally. We encourage and support them in staying informed about current events and market movements and in being able to collaborate and serve clients across borders, languages, and cultures.
From early on in their careers, our attorneys attend conferences and networking events abroad and accompany our partners on international roadshows.
We offer an ambitious secondment programme for our attorneys in collaboration with leading law firms and clients worldwide.
In 2024, we had colleagues seconded in New York (USA) and in Frankfurt (Germany).
In September 2024, all of Moalem Weitemeyer travelled to Riga, Latvia, for our 2024 Firm Off-site.
The journey was centered on building stronger relationships across departments, expertise, and seniority. It was about having fun together, and, just as importantly, it was about nurturing our interest in the world around us.
We learned about the Baltic region and deepened our understanding of its strategic significance, not just
for NATO but for Denmark’s national security and broader geopolitical interests.
We connected with colleagues in Riga and learned about the legal landscape from a Latvian perspective.
This is just one of the ways in which we stay up-to-date and well-prepared to offer informed and strategic counsel to our clients in a world that is constantly changing.

Be kind, generous & demanding. Be Great
We launched our revamped internal career trajectory in 2024. Having already implemented a new set of advancement opportunities and bonuses, in 2024 we took this programme to the #NextLevel, streamlining the process even more.
In their new format, the Be Great sessions between attorney and partner generated significantly enhanced value due to a clearer overall purpose
and a more structured approach to the implementation. By aligning objectives more precisely and setting well-defined parameters for each conversation, we were able to discuss relevant concerns and goals in a more focused, productive manner.
This, in turn, provided valuable insights relevant to the continuous development and organizational growth strategies.
Be Great is not exclusive to our legal staff. In 2024, our Operations team was included in the part of the programme that focuses on personal and leadership development: Be Great in Operations.
We look forward to expanding the career element to include our Operations staff in 2025.
2024 was the year our office space became complete to accommodate the growth we have experienced in recent years.
We now occupy four floors in the historic building worthy of preservation in Amaliegade, Copenhagen, which has been our home since the founding of the Firm.
The renovation has been a long journey, and the results are extraordinary.
We have chosen strong colours and bold floral wallpaper patterns while respecting the history of the building, as we have preserved the herringbone floors, the dark wooden panels, and brass elements, creating a perfect match between modern and vintage.
Every element, from the artwork to design details, exists to inspire creativity, facilitate collaboration across seniority, and support the holistic well-being of our team, creating a place where people feel inspired, focused, and connected.
We inspire, we collaborate, we innovate
We have adorned our offices with artworks that reflect courage and originality, embodying the special kind and generous atmosphere and high level of energy that characterizes Moalem Weitemeyer. Artworks that tell stories, inspire reflection and spark conversation.
Each piece has been carefully selected, and some even created
specifically for our Firm, to harmonize with the space and reflect Moalem Weitemeyer’s values.

inspired, focused, and connected.
We are incredibly pleased that our commitment to integrating the works of young Nordic artists into our workspace design has earned us a nomination for the Danish Business Culture Award.
The winners will be made known in 2025.

High ethical standards are at the core of everything that we do. Participation matters, and it is an intrinsic part of the Moalem Weitemeyer DNA. We take an active part in society. We support organizations committed to creating a better, safer and more sustainable world domestically and on a global scale. We do our best to lead by example and take responsibility in the areas where we can truly make a difference.
We commit to our sustainability efforts because it is the right thing to do. It is as simple as that.
Sustainability at Moalem Weitemeyer is meant in the broadest sense of the word.
From environmental to social sustainability. On a societal level and within our own walls.
We believe that our differences across gender, ethnicity, religion, and social backgrounds are sources of strength, both personally and professionally.
Diverse teams bring a wealth of viewpoints needed when solving complex legal issues, and inclusion drives collaboration and business performance, enabling us to find innovative solutions for our clients and ourselves. We make this very clear via our Code of Conduct.
Our Sustainability Committee supports the Firm’s mission to act responsibly in the world and to do good. Headed by Partner Pernille Nørkær, members of our Sustainability Committee represent every corner of our organization, from legal staff to Operations and across seniority. Everyone works together to support causes where our contribution makes a tangible difference.
Moalem Weitemeyer is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact as we strive to advance corporate responsibility and support the 10 principles covering human rights, working conditions, the environment, and anti-corruption along with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Over the years we have made substantial donations to a diverse and far-reaching range of causes, from environmental initiatives, to supporting ethnic, religious and sexual minorities.
We are passionate defenders of the fundamental freedom rights for all people.
Supporting children from indigent families is particularly close to our hearts. Since its foundation, the Firm has contributed to Danish children’s access to things which many take for granted, such as
after-school activities or getting Christmas presents. We have sponsored countless youth sports clubs with new jerseys or contributions towards participating in tournaments.
Access to basic education is another thing which many of us take for granted. This, however, is far from every child’s reality. Every year, we sponsor the same two schools for Syrian refugee children living in Turkey. Children that seem to be forgotten by the world. With the tireless dedication of two Danish women and their project 5 Skoler, these children have caring adults and purpose in their lives.
Our support does not just come with what we earn but with what we can do.
Many of our attorneys volunteer their time and expertise on the Firm’s pro bono projects and at legal aid offices. We strongly encourage and support this engagement. In 2024, 879 hours were spent on pro bono work, corresponding to an average of 23 hours per every legal staff.
In 2024, we continued to use our platforms to raise awareness for the causes that we find important so that others may feel inspired to contribute should they be able and so inclined.
Be kind & generous. Be demanding of a better world.
This is a selection of the causes that we have supported in 2024.
