One Team
In 2025 Masonite turns 100 years old.
This should lead us to think about what have been the factors that have allowed this milestone and what will be the ones that will project us 100 more years.
In this sense, there is no doubt that the spirit of teamwork – in one team – has been a fundamental force that has been ingrained in the DNA of the company since the beginning, and will be the basis of growth and achievements into the future.
The question, then, is to understand what situation we are in locally, understanding that the history of Masonite in Chile goes back 25 years with the acquisition of the Cabrero plants, then the Chillán plant and finally the start-up of the Santiago Plant.
Today we are 3 locations, 4 plants and 600 employees with one big purpose: to help people walk through walls. Thus, beyond the moment in which each of us joined Masonite Chile, teamwork is essential, because we understand that our individual skills are important. But if we want to reach our full potential, we must join forces and utilize the collective power of our brilliant minds and diverse talents.
Collaboration and effective communication should be the glue that holds Masonite together as one team, valuing the opinions and
contributions of all members of our organization, regardless of their position in the company. In this way, we will foster an environment in which every voice is heard and every perspective is considered, because we believe in the power of diversity, as well as in the richness it brings to our decisions and results.
Every day we must do our best to build strong and trusting relationships among all, with our partners, customers and suppliers, recognizing that their success is also ours. But teamwork goes beyond mere coexistence and collaboration, it is a mutual commitment towards a common goal. To the extent that as a single team we are able to overcome obstacles together, we can fulfill our purpose: to help people walk through walls.
If we work together we can overcome any challenge and this collaboration will allow us to continue making a difference for our planet, employees and communities, beyond 2025.

Taking care our employees obeys one of our most important pillars: people are key. Therefore, having as a priority the physical integrity of our employees and, therefore, avoiding accidents within our plants, we incorporate as part of our Corporate Safety Program the SWA (Stop Work Authority for its name in English).
This is a new methodology that gives authority to our employees, at any level, to stop a process if they detect an unsafe condition that represents a risk of accident, without this entailing any negative repercussions for them. To make this work more effective, we give each employee a credential as a way to empower them and support their actions.
Having this methodology not only involves our employees more in accident prevention, but also increases their participation and, with it, the supervision of risk situations, thus contributing to the development or reinforcement of a safety culture.
The second phase of the process is to notify leaders and supervisors so that they begin to take the roads to solve the problem, as well as continue operating the machine without problems.
When you give something to someone, you create a responsibility, and by making them more accountable, you make them safer. That is the key, that you self-generate an internal responsibility.
It is allowed that any person, where he sees anything that, in his eye, is putting at risk the integrity of another or those around him, can make a call for attention and stop work.
When you establish a policy like this, you are saying that for the company safety comes first. She is authorizing you to stop a process, in the face of a risk of accident. This has an effect, however, on the development of this kind of culture.

Felipe Celis, General Manager Of Masonite Chile:
Recently, our commercial area was restructured seeking to have a more competitive and stronger Masonite. Felipe details what these changes consist of and how they will help us to meet the challenges ahead.
"I arrived at a company of quality, international prestige, very professional, and with a high commercial potential," says Felipe Celis, General Manager of Masonite Chile. Since he arrived, one of his great challenges has been to exploit that potential to the fullest.
Thus, in recent weeks several changes have been implemented around the commercial management of the company. This new route has as pillars to understand the "DNA" of our four great clients and consumers: homeowners, architects, masters and builders.
Under this premise two main objectives have been defined: agility to respond to what the market says, and closeness to understand what the market wants.
With the changes implemented and those that are about to come “in the next few years we should be able to consistently grow in double digits compared to the levels we had in 2019”, says Felipe.

PROCESS AND CHANGE
5 Informative Bulleting N°24 • Masonite Chile • April - June 2023
Moves for a better team
The new Commercial team, formed by 5 areas, each one with medium-term objectives: Customer Service, Latin American Sales, Retail, Builders and Marketing, all led by Felipe, in a double role as Business Leader and General Manager.
Builders
Iván Goñi, Builders Sales Manager.
It has two challenges: Getting to builder companies where we have not arrived yet, to whom we have not sold for a long time and that we have to reconquer; and, another focus, is to differentiate ourselves in customers where we are already with products that the competition does not have, better quality or innovative products. We are developing new products with input from builder companies. If we are the same as the rest, it becomes more difficult to build customer loyalty.
Retail Sales
Lorena Silva, Retail Sales Manager.
The objective is to become the category leader in terms of innovation, which means bringing new products and adapting to the consumer needs of each of our clients. The customer of Sodimac is different from the customer of Easy, Construmart, MTS, Chilemat or Imperial.
Marketing
Jorge Gálvez, Marketing Manager.
His focus is on reaching our target customers. We have to understand the buying process for each of them. For that, Marketing will fulfill a support role for the four previous teams, as the gear that from creativity will make possible the positioning that is needed by segment.
Latam Sales
Luis Hormazábal, Latam Sales Manager.
The objective is to find a market for the finished doors and reach more countries, because there is a great opportunity in Latin America, to not only sell skins, but also finished doors.
Customer Service (vacant position)
Customer Service area stopped depending on Supply Chain and went on to report directly to Felipe, "so that any opportunity that exists for customers, arrives immediately, because we have to differentiate ourselves in the service we deliver against the competition, both in the pre and in the post-sale. That position is still in search of its new manager.
Small and medium-sized hardware
In mid-July a new sales channel was opened with small and medium-sized hardware stores in charge of Juan Pablo Riveros, Salesman, and that he already has his first purchase order. "This is a channel that we had never covered, which represents a third of the total sales of the hardware store channel, and that by serving it directly continues in the same line of being closer to our customers.

The activity brought together the authorities of the different plants, employees, winners and their families, and featured speeches by our General Manager, Felipe Celis, as well as the Country HR Manager, Henry Rodríguez, and for the first time in the history of this program, this year included benefited from our Santiago Plant, for what we have with the presence of people from all our Plants, in addition to the participation of the entire Chile Leadership Team, the CLT.
Following the words of our managers, who highlighted the importance of the contribution made by Masonite and the effort put in by the winners, the scholarships were awarded by categories, instance in which the winners took the stage to receive your diploma. The meeting also featured a musical interlude and the words of the student of Medicine, Fernanda Jara, who thanked in names of the scholarship recipients.

the relevance and fundamental of this delivery, because it is part of the purpose of the company "to help people walk through walls, and scholarships are, undoubtedly, a help for each student to transfer theirs and be able to practice in the future. Masonite has doors that do more and one is always called to do more and, in that sense, education is fundamental.
Today we want to recognize all those sons and daughters of our employees who are deserving of this distinction. They have tried, they have worked during the year, have qualified, have postulated. I invite you all to continue believing in the company to make these initiatives last over time.
It feels good. In the end it is to realize that the effort one made for years and last year in college has a reward.
I am very happy actually, because it is a contribution and support for employees who do not everywhere give it. It's a super good opportunity and a great motivation for my little brother.
I think that recognizing students and children of employees is very nice. It's the second chance I have to be part of this ceremony.
It is gratifying that they value the effort you make, it is nice that they reward it and that they continue to promote it.

Solidarity and companionship
Masonite Volunteering contributes to the well-being of the community
Employees from our three plants moved to different parts of their communes to put their work and energy at the service of others.
Joy, pride and satisfaction for the work done are some of the feelings experienced by our employees, when performing different initiatives promoted by the volunteers of our plants in Chillán, Cabrero and Santiago.
Demonstrating that solidarity and companionship are part of our organizational culture, our employees traveled to different areas of their communes to contribute to the well-being of their inhabitants.
Chillan Plant: neighborhood headquarters arrangement
With the purpose of putting their work and energies at the disposal of the Loma Alta El Quillay Neighborhood Committee, located in the sector of Zapallar, commune of Carmen, a team of seven employees from the Chillan plant moved to this area, last May.
In the place, the change of the main door of the headquarters was done, which periodically brings together 25 representatives of the families of the sector. Similarly, some guardings were installed for the windows of the same building.
The president of the Committee was very happy and grateful for this act of collaboration, which will benefit its members and families in this rural sector.

After the destruction caused by the time passed, the work of our employees focused on leaving this space operational, which serves as a source of income for the activities perform by this group that brings together more than 50 people.
The tasks consisted of changing some wooden poles in poor condition, installing PVC sheets and covering the entire structure with nylon. The following employees from Skin and Cutstock plants participated in this activity: Osvaldo Candia, Skarlet Fernández, Alejandro Pérez, Marcelo Melo, Érika Reyes, Susana Riquelme, Gabriel Sepúlveda, Luis Urrutia, Helio Véliz and Gonzalo Urrutia.
Santiago Plant: guards for Children's Club of Trauma Center
The Children's Club of the Trauma Center of Santiago serves 17 boys and girls, between 4 and 11 years of age, when they finish their classes. Before its creation, the children, once their school
day was over, moved to their mothers' jobs, where they slept and waited for them until their shifts ended.
And it was precisely this situation that, on July 4, our volunteers from Santiago plant solved, by installing and painting wooden guards with beautiful finishes. The work done by our employees allowed us to leave the space operational, by preventing children from passing into dangerous areas of the facility. In addition, as a company took a swing that was assembled in the courtyard of the place.
On this occasion, Luis Hormazábal, Raymond Macías, Sandra Navarrete, Angelina Orellana, Cristóbal Peña, José Traipe, Juan Riveros, Karen Díaz and Gonzalo Urrutia participated in the initiative.

ESG Champions Initiatives Contribute to the Well-Being of Our Employees
Through the actions they perform, our champions collaborate in the purpose of Masonite to leave a legacy as a company that gives back to the environment and communities, as well as to our employees, partners and customers.
As a way to capture our ESG vision that considers environmental, social and governance factors in our daily work, last October, we looked for leaders who made a difference, had convictions and connected with people from all over the organization, to be our ambassadors (champions) in this field.
We invite you to know some concrete initiatives that are being performed, seeking the well-being of our employees.
Santiago Plant Active breaks: bridging health and safety
Optimizing break times through useful exercises for the body was the purpose of the initiative developed by our ESG champions, Orlando Núñez, Safety Specialist, and Juan Pablo Riveros, Salesman, from the Santiago Plant.
This is how the realization of active breaks was encouraged, based on the different functions carried out by the employees that involve using their bodies.
The breaks are held at 7:00, 10:00 and 14:00, and it is estimated that 50% of the employees are participating in them. The goal, by the end of the year, is to reach 100% of the employees.
As a way of motivating attendance, the most constant groups have been given a symbolic prize and together with the Mutual de Seguridad (occupational safety and health advisory entity), active pause instructors will be trained, for them to lead, encourage and control in order to create the positive impact we are looking for.
Juan Pablo Riveros, Salesman. Being able to count on them three times a day helps them not to get injured, because most of them perform heavy and repetitive work, so these instances allow them to get out of the routine, clear their mind and reactivate.

Through active breaks, the body compensates for the activity it performs during the day, which is reflected in the reduction of occupational ailments and diseases associated with them

There were twelve employees from Cabrero plants who participated in the driving course managed by our ESG champion Yessica Acuña, Payroll Specialist, with a local school. An initiative that was born from the same employees and that, due to the benefit of the Sence program (national training and employment service), it had no cost for them.
Administrative and operators employees of Cabrero Plants participated in this course and the practical hours of the classes were performed within the working day, in the premises of Masonite, which allowed them to know each other and creates bonds.
On the process of obtaining the driver's license began in June and most of the employees have it.

"Results Hinge on Accountability" was the pillar that stood out during the second quarter of 2023.
Within the framework of our recognition program, the "Wanted" campaign has been the protagonist to highlight and identify our cultural pillars among the collaborators of the Masonite Chile plants.
During the last months it was the turn of the pillar "Results Hinge on Accountability", which can be manifested in different ways and has four key actions:
• Take personal responsibility at work.
• Prioritize aligned with work.
• We empower our people to deliver.
• Follows up on your commitments.
Through a campaign that invited our employees to join this initiative, we started the search. Then, we went through the nomination process, an instance that counted on the participation of our four plants. The

Since its formation in 2018, our CLT (Chile Leadership Team) has the practice of meeting periodically in order to review the contingencies of the business at the domestic market level, as well as follow up on the main projects in execution that seek to grant profitability and sustainability to the team in the country.
From its training, its members, managers of each of the areas of Masonite perform meetings, once a month, in person, which was interrupted by the pandemic, giving way to the online work modality.
"Once the pandemic is over and with the arrival of our new General Manager, Felipe Celis, who has given a renewed impetus to the CLT team with the aim of working towards the consolidation of "one team" for Chile, the format of the meetings has maintained its weekly frequency; however, once a month it meets for a day and a half with the purpose of discussing issues in depth and taking advantage of the presence to make field visits in the plants or eventually to a client.
Along with the above, this instance is being used to invite some teams from the different units to present a specific project or deal with a topic that requires a position at the company level and thus be able to make decisions together.

"The leadership team has as its main role to make decisions at the national level on transversal and important issues for the company. Also, to have a common vision as a company and analyze how to grow Chile as a business."
Jorge Osorio, Chillan Plant Manager.
"These meetings are important because of the type of leadership that Masonite has, where we must be aligned with the work of each plant, with its reality and diversity. We cannot forget that we are one company and that is how we must be seen by everyone."

"Inside the company, we are people with different points of view and experiences, who contribute collaboratively to help the other do better and, in short, we all do better. If we look at it outwardly, we are Masonite in the Southern Cone and therefore, we have the challenge of presenting ourselves to the corporate as a well-integrated, communicated and coordinated team".
Sergio Tardones, Supply Chain Manager.
"The existence of the CLT favors the discussion and analysis of the different policies, initiatives and projects of Masonite Chile, by collecting the varied points of view of its members. In addition, each team member works permanently with their peers and bosses at the corporate level in the U.S., facilitating the alignment of local initiatives with corporate initiatives."

Organization chart of Masonite Chile
From this global structure we can understand how these executives are linked to the business in Chile, through the following organizational chart that shows graphically, how matrix relationships are represented in our organization:
• The first thing is to identify that, from the global organization chart, there are only 5 areas that are linked hierarchically and directly with the teams in Chile, through solid lines, according to the structure of the organization chart.
• However, in addition, it can be seen how the President of Global Residential, who is responsible for the business in Chile, and direct head of the General Manager in Chile, therefore of the
commercial team (solid black line), also has a functional link (green dotted line) with the Vice Presidents of the different areas (Operation, Supply Chain, Finance, IT and Human Resources). • Therefore, aligned with the corporate structure, the organizational chart in Chile presents the same type of relationship. That is, all executives in Chile (CLT), report hierarchically to some corporate executive (black solid vertical line), as well as functionally to the General Manager of Chile (green dotted horizontal line).
• This means that each CLT has its head in the corporate. However, in the exercise of their functions they report "functionally" to the General Manager of Chile.

New management model
Standardizing our purchasing procedures
This initiative will result in a decrease in the number of transactions and greater control over expenses in all our plants, as well as an improvement in the efficiency of our company's supply system.
In order to standardize the purchasing procedure for Santiago, Chillán and Cabrero, we are implementing in Masonite a new management system that will allow better control of the process and its expenses, as well as a decrease in the level of transactionality that this implies.
Our company we have different locations and each one uses different information systems. Until now, we have had different purchasing procedures associated with them and what we want is to have a common one for all plants, regardless of the system they have.
The release of the system starting first in Santiago and then continuing in Chillán and, finally, in Cabrero. The goal is to have by the end of the year 100% of the
Objectives of implementation
1. Standardize procedures
2. Decrease the level of transactionality
purchase orders typified according to the established scale and according to the defined approval levels, in the four plants.
Cultural change
Going from making a purchase independently and without defined criteria to a standardized one, implies the challenge of creating a cultural change, because the way to operate will be different.
To facilitate this transformation we have taken into account to make a good descent, see who operates this and consider their comments, make them participants in the different stages, carry out the necessary accompaniment and support buyers.
Medium and long-term benefits
Standardization, based on what we really need, will allow us to structure the type of purchase and free up buyers' time so that they can perform other functions, as well as identify where more money is spent and failures are generated of the purchase process.
In the same way, this new procedure will grant the next evolutionary step to the supply system in general, incorporating all the areas that compose it and aligning them with the purchasing compliance that the corporate has.
Benefits
1. Better control over the purchase process
2. Freeing up buyers' time
3. Greater efficiency of the supply system
4. Strengthening of the purchasing area
Target 2023
100% of purchase orders typified and according to defined approval levels

We must modify behaviors, because the way we operate will be different. Therefore, we began to create an information base to discuss with each manager the reality of their plant.
Within the process everything that has to do with compliance will be addressed, that is, defining homologous criteria, which allow whoever charges in Cabrero or Chillán to occupy the same criteria to be able to manage a purchase.
This change will allow us to operate with a more robust purchasing area and be on par with blue-chip companies. Therefore, it will require applicants and authorizers to understand the logic of this new process and be able to apply it.

Jovanna Delgado: a woman passionate about cooking, reading and the countryside
The story of Jovanna Delgado, Production Assistant at Cutstock Plant, is the living demonstration that many times fate is responsible for guiding us and returning us to our place in the world.
She was born in the hospital of Yumbel, but she says it has always been from Cabrero. He studied at the Liceo Bicentenario Politécnico Monte Águila, where he graduated as an electrical technician and then worked for a couple of years in an electric company located in the same commune.
Later, she moved to Santiago to work as a secretary. However, thirteen years later he returned to Cabrero to accompany his mother, who unfortunately was diagnosed with cancer.
Upon arrival, she applied for a position offered by a contractor company staffed at our Skin and Cutstock plants, and within a week, she was contacted for the job. Then, in 2016 she joined our Masonite teams fulfilling the role of Chop saw Line feeder and preparation of report tickets in Cutstock Plant.
She has a thirty-year-old daughter and two grandchildren: a two-year-old and a three-year-old, who also live in Cabrero and with whom she shares one of her favorite tastes: salty cooking, in addition to romantic reading. "They are my life, they are my engine, I live for them practically," she says.
Great friends at Masonite
Upon entering the company, she met again with two great friends of life and classmates from the high school where she studied: Juan Villalobos, Lean Leader at Cutstock Plant, and Héctor Gutiérrez, Production Operator at Skin Plant. In addition to his cousins
In addition, at her workplace she met his partner, with whom they quickly projected and realized their dream of having a home in the countryside, where she spends weekends resting and enjoying the tranquility of the rural world.
"I never imagined I would find love at work. On a piece of wood, we drew how our house was going to be and now we are building it. When we go to the field I see my little plants, little trees, my garden. We have a small vineyard, so we have a lot of things to do there," says Jovanna.
Regarding her vision of Masonite, Jovanna believes that "you can't imagine what it means for me to be working here. Thanks to work I have fulfilled my dreams, I have my own place in the countryside, my house, I can worry about my family, go on vacation, give myself some treats, have a good life and accomplishing my goals. I’m so grateful for the good life that I have."

Pascuala Rojas: an inspiring woman, full of life and joy
Pascuala Rojas is 60 years old, Services Assistant at Santiago Plant, is a motivated, energetic and hardworking woman, recognized for her desire to enjoy life.
Born in San Bernardo, she currently lives in the commune of Quilicura where she has her own house. In the workplace and before coming to Masonite she worked as a home consultant, then worked in a cleaning company and, later, after an illness that affected her husband, they decided to open a neighborhood shop in their home.
"When my husband passed away, I suffered a lot. I keep him in my heart, I will always remember him, but that is not a reason to live a bitter life, or I will always be sad, life goes on and that's why I enjoy as much as I can," says Pascuala.
She has two children, a thirty-five years old, and a twenty-nine years old and two grandchildren of ten and three years old, and she spoils them every time she goes to pick them up from school.
After work she becomes a loyal follower of Mega's TV series, but she also likes to watch movies on Netflix. And on weekends she gets together with her family to share, or if not with a friend to catch up and go dancing, mainly music from the 80's, 90's and cumbia.
Landing in Masonite, her second family
In 2017, she joined the external services company San Cristóbal and two months later she began working in our Santiago Plant. She still remembers with pride that, from day one, her younger co-workers complimented her on her enormous energy.
"When I got the news that I would work for Masonite I cried, because in the interview I was the only woman who applied, there were only men, and I had never worked with machines. I am very grateful that they taught me, even though I was a woman, everyone congratulated me, and I felt so good about myself," says Pascuala.
For this reason, she does not hesitate to affirm that "it is like my second family, because I spend almost all day here and I share with my colleagues, I love them very much because we have been together for many years".
"To me Masonite means everything. If I hadn't found this job, I don't know where I would be. The company allowed me to meet many people. I am very grateful, I love it, I feel very happy here, and I still have energy for a while," she says.

Six years later he joined our company. "In the paper and pulp mill we had a colleague who told us that a new plant was being opened in Cabrero and that they were hiring people. So, I applied and after 15 days they called me to start to work as a Maintenance Operator," he says.

Energy Management System will ensure continuous improvement in our performance
On February 13, 2021, Law 21,305 on energy efficiency was published, which aims to promote energy management, establishing the obligation for large companies to report their energy consumption and energy intensity with the purpose of promoting a better use of energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Similarly, it requires those facilities with consumption greater than 50 tera-calories, defined as Consumers with Energy Management Capacity (CCGE), "to carry out an active management of their energy, implementing and maintaining an Energy Management System (SGE).
With respect to the scope of the System, it must be defined according to the energy consumption for total final use reported to the Energy Ministry and must cover at least 80% of it, considering all types of energy. It should be noted that Cabrero Plant consumes 97% of our company's energy.
SGE Stages
In Masonite we are already working on the elaboration of our SGE, which implies establishing a policy and its procedures, with a period of one year to make its delivery to the authority.
After this first stage, our SGE proposal will be subjected to an external audit, in charge of its validation and after obtaining it, we will have four years to carry out its implementation.
Francisco Mora, Technical Manager. The implementation of the SGE can help reduce our operating costs and improve our competitiveness in the market. In addition, energy efficiency would contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and combating climate change.

Ricardo Stevenson: A young promise of national motocross
He is only ten years old, Ricardo, son of Federico Stevenson, Safety Speciaist at Skin and Cutstock plants, is recognized as a future promise of national motocross, a passion he shares with several members of his family and that today reaffirms his talent with 17 medals and three trophies.
"His taste started when I was riding with him on my motorcycle, when Ricardo was two or three years old. Since I was a kid I liked them and I had motorcycles, but I did not compete, however, I had the opportunity to meet outstanding national riders. So, you could say our family are “mad" for motorcycles, "says Federico Stevenson, father of the athlete.
At 11 months old, Ricardo was already walking without problems and at 3 years old he was riding a bicycle without support wheels. "He was always restless, and since we live in the countryside, he had enough space to be able to train," says Federico.
This young talent received his first motorcycle at the age of six, as a birthday gift from one of his grandparents, with which he began to take his first competitive steps. "My brother-in-law practices enduro (branch of motocross) and we as a family accompanied him to his races, then he had the opportunity to have his first bike, we tried and, from there, we have not stopped," says Federico.
22 competitions: 17 medals and 3 trophies
Ricardo's first race was in 2021, in the Triple Crown championship, which was held in Portezuelo, where he won his first place in the children's category.
Of the 22 competitions in which he has participated, on only two occasions has he not been able to get on the podium, so, in total he collects 17 medals and three trophies in championships, highlighting a first place in Summer Cup Pucón 2023 and sixth place in the great championship A Fondo 2022.
"When I see him finish, they call him to the podium to give him the medal or he makes some good pass everything squeezes me, my chest swells," says Federico excitedly.

Permanent family support
Every time Ricardo competes, he is accompanied by a big "fans"; his mother, father, sister, uncle and friends. Sometimes, their maternal and paternal grandparents also join, instances that have allowed them to enjoy as a family.
"As a family we try to take all these times of closeness and sharing. These are times when nowadays other families prefer that children are on screens, computer, on the tablet, etc. we prefer to be there, supporting him emotionally, "says Federico.
The young promise of motocross is happy with the support that his family has given him. "When my dad says these things, I feel love and also joy, it makes me happy to see that they are accompanying me, I feel safer."
"What I like the most is the risk, competing with other kids, the tracks, riding hard, feeling the adrenaline. My dream is to continue competing to win, I want to be a professional rider and enter the biggest leagues, "says Ricardo, the " hidden gem " of national motocross.

Traffic lights and barrier system will control the discharge of fuel material in Skin Plant
A new Kaizen 4 Blocker that was performed in Skin Plant, specifically oriented to the fuel discharge sector, allowed to detect the need to have a control system for the discharge of fuel material to the bark feeder ladder moving floor and the fuel warehouse. Likewise, the day identified the need for guards of the ladder moving floor and chains, which are damaged by excess accumulated material, creating a high maintenance cost.
To solve these problems, a system of traffic lights and barrier was implemented to control the unloading of trucks to the bark feeder being interlocked with the PLC program.
This is how when reaching 50% load of the motor of the feeder, the traffic light changes to green and raises the barrier to feed. Meanwhile, when reaching 67% load, the traffic light changes to red and lowers the barrier. This protects the equipment and reduces the costs associated with its repair.
This Kaizen had the participation of Rodolfo Salas, Juan Seguel, Aquiles Cárdenas and Víctor Fonseca.
Supervisors and Lean Leaders are trained in risk management and control
Leading work teams is a constant challenge. Therefore, last April a training was held for Supervisors and Lean Leaders of the Santiago Plant Operations area in which the topic "Risk Management and Control for Supervisors" was addressed.
The knowledge acquired will allow them to distinguish the elements of leadership necessary to achieve greater effectiveness in the identification of hazards, as well as the appropriate behaviors to motivate the personnel of their unit in OSH. In the same way, the training will help them to know and manage teamwork techniques. The above, with the purpose of approaching the objective of being a safe plant to work.

More than twenty operators, technicians and leaders traveled to Coronel to learn about the technological processes that Tapel performs to make the paint we use. Among them, the water recovery stage that we will begin to implement in our plant.
Within the framework of our Engagement plan, one of the activities aims to bring our employees closer to the needs of our suppliers and customers, to give them a greater meaning to the work they do, twenty-six members of the teams of the Painting and Maintenance lines of the Skin Plant visited, at the beginning of May, the factory of the company Tapel Willamette, located in Coronel.
The objective of this initiative, performed in rotating shifts for four days, was that the operators, technicians and leaders of those areas, knew the process of making the paint that they themselves use to paint the skins that are then used in the manufacture of doors.
One of the aspects that caught the attention of our employees was the water treatment process used by

As an organization we value and recognize the important role that our employees play in their families, as well as the personal and work effort they make for the well-being of their loved ones. Therefore, we did not want to stop celebrating Masonite moms and dads on their day.
