StaffordshireUniversity Academy is based in astate-of-the-art building in Hednesford. The academy has excellent facilities, small group sizes, experienced staffand personalised guidance, which ensuretheir Sixth Form, SUA6 is averyspecial place wherestudents aresupported to fulfil their potential.

Awide range of subjects areavailable at A-level alongside agood selection of vocational courses such as Creative Media and Sports Studies. The football programme, led by aformer professional footballer,isnow well-established.

SUA is an exciting place to be. The academy works closely with anumber of partners to expand the breadth of its provision to students, including visits to London, Paris and New York. Sixth form students also attend careers, science and enterprise events and university experience days at external venues throughout the year

SUA6 offers students lots of opportunities to develop skills that will help them to succeed in higher education or in the world of employment. Many students take on additional rolessuch as joining our Junior Leadership Team or being areading ambassador with younger students.

SUA believes that every student has atalent. As ateam, their vision is for every learner to achieve their very best. The key to improvement is sustainable success and having adedicated team of staffsupporting its learners. Ofsted have recently commented upon the “positive and ambitious culture”, staff’s“well-formed expectations” and of students and the “positive relationships” observed.

SUA’s results continue to improve year-on-year and staffare very pleased that moreand more SUA6 students are going onto universities across the country to continue their studies. In addition to supporting students through the university application process, SUA6 staffalso guide students to other routes such as higher apprenticeships and in achieving other professional qualifications.
