The Academy Trust is very excited to be launching anew sixth form hub at Moreton School. In the first year,itwill be offering courses in sport, TLevels in healthcarescience and education and childcareaswellasthe Football Academy

Over time, the TLevel offer will continue to grow,with plans to deliver hair and beauty and construction, along with many other qualifications to suit amyriad of ambitions andfuturecareer aspirations.

Aspokesman said: “Weare thrilled to be one of the first Sixth Forms offering T Levels across the West Midlands.

“Here, in addition to 18 hours of contact time in the classroom, students will gain experience with an employer for at least one day aweek and so developing the skills needed for employment after the end of the course.

“Weare pleased to be able to offer healthcarescience with possible routes into nursing and work in hospital trusts as well as education and childcarewith placements in local nurseries.”

The introduction of the BTEC Extended Certificate in Sport or the BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport will enhance any budding sportsperson to either specialise in a full A-level or choose two other A-levels alongside this qualification.

In addition, students who wish to join the Football Academy will have access to abrand newMulti-Use Games Area at Moreton School and regular access to state-of-the-art professional pitches and an upcoming European tour

As aresult, students will be able to combine the very best of teaching in the classroom, as well as the use of brand-new facilities for practical skills development.

Cannock Chase High School Sixth Form is dedicated to providing the highest standardofeducation and experience for 16 to 18 year olds, preparing all students to be ‘future-ready’.

The vision of our Sixth Form is a place whereevery student, regardless of background, thrives and achieves personal excellence. Our Sixth Form seeks to ensureall students have the opportunity to excel on their chosen pathway

Many of our existing GCSE students choose to stay with us into Sixth Form but we arealso delighted to welcome students joining us from other schools.

The average class size is 15-20 students, allowing everyone to receive the individual attention that they deserve, resulting in strong positive relationships between students and staff.

Last year saw another year of excellent results in the Sixth Form, bucking the trend of national headlines. We areproud of our students’ outstanding achievements in both academic and vocational qualifications, with superb individual successes amongst our excellent overall results.

In the face of adversity over the past two years, over 95% of our university applicants have achieved aplace at the university of their choice, with other students successful in securing apprenticeships or employment; the true measureofsuccess. Most notably,over 75%ofour students as awhole were successful in gaining aplace at university High academic achievement is only part of your journey with us. Students leave Cannock Chase High School being able to demonstrate our five school values: Teamwork, Resilience, Integrity,Excellence and Responsibility through involvement in avast range of extra-curricular activities from sport to school productions and public speaking to cubing.
