The Khalsa Academy Wolverhampton is aSikh ethos school where academic success and student wellbeing go hand-in-hand.

It is led by Executive Principal/CEO Mrs Anita Notta alongside the Head of School Mr Sukhdev Shoker and their leadership team. TKAWwelcomes children from all faiths and backgrounds, ensuring that they can access ahighquality education, with the knowledge, skills and values that they need to become asuccessful participant in the local community and beyond.
Exceptional GCSE exam success in summer 2022 places TKAWasa top non-selective school in Wolverhampton for progress as well as securing strong results at A-level in its sixth form Khalsa Sixth.
The school’sprinciples and values are universal and very much in line with British values. They arebased on the three principles of Sikhi: n Kirat Karna which has been translated into: ‘Together As One, We Will Exceed n Naam Japna which has been translated into: ‘Together As One We Will Discover New Paths’. This represents the values of truth and altruism. n Vand Chakna which has been translated into: ‘Together As One, We Will Live in Harmony’. This represents the values of compassion and love.
Expectations’. This represents the values of service, courage and resilience.
TKAWisacentre of excellence for computer science and is the Computing at Schools (CAS) Community for delivering first class teacher training for computer science teachers for Wolverhampton and its surrounding areas.
TKAWlaunched its Sixth Form: Khalsa Sixth (KVI) in September 2020. The sixth form prides itself on the same principles, values and expectations as the rest of the school. Staffwant students to have the same foundations, but adifferent experience.
The additional experience such as abespoke careers programme, work placements, Level 1Teaching Assistant courses, EAL mentors, Sports Leadership Awards, EPQs etc will set students apart when they embark on their journey into further education. Links with external agencies such ared brick universities, Coach Bright etc allows the sixth form to link experiences through their support and guidance into further education.
