A TRUE FORCE FOR CHANGE IN BIRMINGHAM

Michelle Helsby, the determined founder of Forever15_youth_birmingham, is a relentless advocate for her community. Committed to tackling violence head-on, she has organised knife and gun searches, fun days, and community outreach programmes. Through impactful speaking events, Michelle raises awareness of the harsh realities of violence, inspiring change and unity.

Her efforts include running Saturday boxing sessions and arranging football matches between police and young people to rebuild trust and foster positive relationships. Always thinking ahead, she’s also installed bleed cabinets throughout the area to save lives in emergencies.

At Christmas 2023, Michelle showed her compassion by feeding five families struggling with the cost-of-living crisis. Despite having no government funding, Forever15_youth_birmingham operates entirely on voluntary efforts, even risking their safety to pass crucial information to police, turn in weapons, and support families affected by violence. Michelle’s unwavering dedication is making a lasting impact on Birmingham.
