WEEK 2

June 18- June 22

Woodworking (rising 1st - 8th graders) From start to finish you will build and create two projects. We will go over the plans and measure, cut, sand and paint. You will also design your own projects. Workshop includes: wood, tools, paint, plans and basic woodworking guide. $15 supply fee will be added.

Wide World of Sports & Summer Olympics (rising 2nd - 8th graders) In honor of this year’s Olympic Games campers will learn about and participate in summer camp style version of many events. Over the past few summers we have discovered a cornucopia of sports that are popular in other countries that but get little publicity in America and our camp will spend some time learning about and playing a few of these lesser known athletic gems. Each day will consist of a variety of games, skill drills, knowledge based activities and even crafts relative to the weeks theme sport(s). We will not be playing any particular sport exclusively. We will integrate the skills and concepts into a fun filled day.

Spanish (rising 1st - 8th graders) 1/2 Day (9:00 - Noon)

Come join us for some extra special language fun by: Doing conversation and role-play activities to work on speaking skills, studying culture through games and cooperative learning activities, using your inner chef to prepare delectable cuisine, and exploring the art forms of different countries with creative projects and crafts.

Percussion (rising 1st - 8th graders)1/2 Day (12:30 - 3:00 p.m.)

Come discover the basic history of what may be the world’s oldest musical instrument. Campers will learn of the use of percussion instruments throughout various points in history and their effects on musical change. We will be learning how drums were used as means of communication, Military use, and how different sounds and styles evolved into Jazz, Dixieland jazz, rock and pop music. Each day will consist of learning about a time period and the drum use, then learn and play simple drum patterns of that time period. No musical experience will be required, only willingness to learn and to have FUN.

WEEK 3

June 25- June 29

Mad Scientist (rising 1st - 8th graders) Everyday is an adventure as we explore various topics, fun projects and materials, microscopes, magnifying glasses, telescopes, pulleys, the scientific method and much more. Come and enjoy the world around us! You never know what we will discover next!

Basketball (rising 2nd - 8th graders) Basketball skills will get a boost in this hooptastic camp! Scheduled the same week as the NBA draft we will learn about the draft process and test our prediction skills. A plethora of shooting games will be paired with skill development for an awesome week. Each day will consist of a variety of games, skill drills, knowledge based activities and even crafts relative to the weeks theme sport(s). We will not be playing any particular sport exclusively. French (rising 1st - 8th graders) 1/2 Day (9:00 - Noon)
