Cambourne Soul Refurbishments

Cambourne Soul were provided funding by the Department of digital,culture, media and sport in partnership with the National Lottery Community Fund. The money provided to the Cambourne Youth Partnership was used to pay for; materials, equipments and a celebrations of the renovations of the youth building. During the six week programme many members of the local community with expertise and knowledge of gardening and landscaping volunteered their time. As well as, the young people that attend the many clubs and trips organised by the Cambourne soul.

During the course of the project the volunteers and youth workers worked tougher to dig up the old slap path and lay down a new gravel path leading to the front of the building. As well as building a raised flower bed and vegetable path to enhance the appearance of the youth centre. centre. The whole project was in hope to break stereotypes of young people in Cambourne. After finishing the project, a social distance lunch with Council members to celebrate all the hard work put in to improve the youth Centre.
