• The T-Wine, the T-Wine Replica and the T-Spark are packed and sealed in polyethylene bags • The bags should be stored in a clean and dry environment • All stoppers should be used within 12 months from date of delivery • The bags should not be opened until immediately before bottling • Any leftover stopper, after the bottling process is completed, should be sealed hermetically and can be used again within 1 month

• All stoppers in the T-Wine family were designed to be used in standard bottles in compliance with the following standards: • European Standard CE.T.I.E., GPI 3115, GME 50.1 - diameter at 3 mm from the top of the fi nish 17.5 mm ± 0.4 mm - diameter at 45 mm from the top of the fi nish 20.0 mm ± 1.0 mm • Italian Standard - diameter at 3 mm from the top of the fi nish 18.5 mm ± 0.4 mm - diameter at 45 mm from the top of the fi nish 19.0 mm ± 1.0 mm Tapì declines any responsibility for the usage of its own stoppers on bottles that are not in compliance with the abovementioned standards • The bottleneck must be correctly cleaned and dried

• Before bottling make sure that the stoppers have reached a stable temperature between 10ºC and 25ºC • Regular maintenance to manufacturer’s standards of the bottling system jaws is mandatory • The jaws should not scratch or leave any marks or wrinkles on the stoppers • The jaws should not compress the stoppers to less than 16.0 mm • Do not heat the jaws when bottling with either the T-Wine, the T-Wine Replica or the T-Spark • After using natural corks please make sure that all parts of the bottling machine that come in contact with the stoppers are clean • Synthetic and natural corks should never be used during the same bottling session • It is preferable to use a vacuum corking system (suggested setting: -0.5 bar) • We strongly advise against using a machine without a vacuum corking system.


FILLING LEVEL

Establishing Maximum Temperature Limits

• The fill height should be calculated at 20° C. • Calculate the filling level following bottle specifications • The information should be indicated on the bottom of the bottle (the measure indicates the distance between the fill height and the brim of the neck) • If this information is not inscribed on the bottle, refer to the capacity of the bottle • In any case there should always be an empty space of at least 20 mm

• Do not subject to pasteurization any bottles stoppered using the T-Wine or the T-Wine Replica • Do not use T-Wine synthetic corks with pasteurized wine. • The complete anchorage (tight seal) of the closure inside the neck of the bottle is reached 24 hours after bottling. During this period do not subject the bottles to swift variations in temperature.

The stoppers are designed to perform throughout the product life cycle. The ability of the closure to withstand high temperatures during stocking or transport is strongly tied to the type of bottle employed and most importantly to the filling height of the liquid inside the bottle. Tapì recommends testing the bottles (in ovens or in thermostatic baths) as they come out of the bottling line, as to establish on the premises the maximum temperature guaranteed.
