Governor Napolitano is about to take a job in Washington and Jan Brewer is going to take the helm here in Arizona. Whatever else that may bring it means Mary Peters is coming home to roost with a friend at the Copper Dome. California may introduce motorcycle emission testing so we better stay vigilant about ours coming back. And I will continue to write and ramble about the same things I’ve always written and rambled about. In the past year I’ve written about getting involved in motorcycle rights by joining an MRO and then about getting involved as a member of an MRO. I wrote about getting involved and voting whether you were an MRO member or not. The

For the Beautiful Michele and me the past year could best be described as, “it could have been worse.” We are both working harder because coworkers were laid-off but we still have jobs. Michele was diagnosed with cancer but the treatments were successful and we get to spend another New Year’s Eve together. We bought a house at maybe the worse time ever to buy a house, but despite people losing their houses all around us, we’re in no danger of losing ours. Our advice for the coming year is (you guessed it) get involved. Whether 2008 was bad or absolutely great, our wish for you all is that 2009 is better. Like most years, the year we’ve had has been both good and bad. We’ve once again lost some good friends and supporters. Joe Egg, Joe Bochenek, Ken Jones and others. And like most years, we’ve gained some friends and supporters as well. We also made some gains in the political arena. It’s only a matter of months before motorcycle emission testing in Arizona is history.
