Middle Years Programme

• The students learn how to learn, using skills such as communication, research, self-management, collaboration and critical thinking.

• It develops projects that serve the school community and connect classroom learning to “real life”.

• It encourages the development of critical thinking, evaluations, and problem-solving. It also favors the emergence of new and different perspectives.

• It helps students to broaden their understanding of the world through the analysis of globally significant ideas and issues.

• It encourages the exercise of personal qualities such as: organizing and planning tasks, meeting deadlines, staying focused, reorganizing, persisting and thinking positively.

• Students are encouraged to make connections between different topics and subjects, with activity-based assessments and integrated tests.
