Our President’s note
Welcome to spring. Warmer temperatures mean the arrival of flowers, no more layering when heading outdoors and new beginnings. Here at Amazing Love Development, we are also in the midst of many new beginnings. In 2023, not only did we embark on new adventures in grant writing, for which we are now reaping the rewards, but we also expreienced overwhelming generosity from our donors. Thank you.
Read on in the pages of our newsletters for updates on one of our major capital projects ~ a new boarding section for our female students. We are also hot off the heels of a very successful Christmas feeding program. We have new Board Members who bring special talents to the organization that we’d like you to meet. The perfect example of this is in front of you right now. Our newsletter has received a spring make-over (thanks to one of our newest Board members, Monica Khanna).
Keep reading to learn about what’s kept us busy in the later part of 2023 and what we hope to accomplish in 2024.
We are grateful to our generous donors
ALDO was established in 2006 with 40 students and today in 2024, Amazing Love School has 400 young boys and girls receiving education, training and care that is empowering them to thrive. We know some of our graduates have continued on to complete high school and university and are gainfully employed.
Our mission to provide quality education to students is only possible with the help from our generous donors. We are eternally grateful.

RECENT UPDATES
Generous funding from our donors enabled a satisfying Christmas program for the children. Additionally, the construction of both girls and boys dormitories is progressing well. Additionally, our newly planted nursery is growing and the goats and rabbits are thriving in their newly repaired dwellings.

Our Achievements
We are proud to announce our young graduates
We began our year on a high note and would like to congratulate our 22 young graduates who are now embarking on their journey towards achieving their future goals. Through high school and beyond we wish them the best and look forward to what their achievements will bring.
The new term of Amazing Love School will begin on February 5, 2024 and end on May 3, 2024, while the second term will start on May 27, 2024.
This year we have an action plan to motivate students to work hard so that they can improve their grades which can act as a path for them to realize their aspirations. This will ensure continued increase in acheivement and results at the end of the school year.
ROBOTICS
Nothing is impossible for our children!
We introduced the Robotics program in 2022 and in 2023 our team won two trophies. This year our students will travel to Jinja to participate in the robotics championships on 12 March, 2024. We are excited as a team from Canada is also participating! We cannot wait for the wonderful learners from Amazing Love School to get to have the experience at the URL Championship in Jinja!

Volunteer of the year
We are so excited to share this wonderful news! One of our volunteers Chevonne Wint, who is a Gr.5 Ontario elementary school teacher initiated a fundraiser at her school for ALDO. Chevonne is passionate about helping the children of Amazing Love, and in doing so, Chevonne, her students and students from other grades raised enough funds for ALDO to purchase projectors and screens for the school. Chevonne’s dedication and initiative are truely heartwarming to see her Gr.5 students along with the entire school community coming together to support such a meaningful cause. Securing projectors and screens for the Amazing Love School will undoubtedly enhance the learning experience for the students there. It’s inspiring to see acts of kindness and generosity like this making a significant impact in the world. Congratulations to Chevonne and everyone involved for their incredible efforts!
