May 20, 2021 Dear Friends of the Academy of Saint Elizabeth, I want to extend a warm welcome to all of our guests here this evening in celebration of the Academy of Saint Elizabeth’s Fortieth Annual Fashion Show and Gift Auction.

Tonight we present, The Great Gatsby and the Class of 2021. Our seniors will grace the runway and take their places among the distinguished women who have come before them, a rite of passage for our SEAsters who will soon venture beyond the gates of the Academy as they forge new paths using the Academy experience to inspire them. I am sure that for the parents of our seniors this time has passed too quickly, yet here they are poised and ready to embark on the next chapter of their lives.

Thank you for being here tonight. Your participation in this event and overwhelming generosity is critical to our success and the future of our beloved Academy. With your support we may plan for the future while building on the past. We remain committed to the goal of honoring the revered traditions and mission begun by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth in 1860.

The elegance of this evening represents an incredible effort by a dedicated group of parents and gracious volunteers who have worked under the direction of Megan Knight, Director of Development & Alumnae Relations. Together with fashion show co-chairs Ellen Edson and Laura Santoriello and the Gift Auction co-chairs, Debbie Lombardi and Maria Bio along with their fabulous team they have tended to every detail to ensure our success. Your time, talents, energy, and meticulous attention to creating something truly spectacular is so very much appreciated.
