his is a very capable car and it just makes you feel safe and sound.
The engine on this car is the 3.0 TDi 245 bhp which has amazing performance considering the size of the car and proper off road capabilities unlike its competitors. I tested this on a beach in Wales and it was great fun and at no time did it struggle. Inside its very luxurious, it comes with Full leather, Sat Nav, Bluetooth, Cruise Control, Heated Front Seats, Front and Rear Parking System and lots more and this is the SE entry level car.
When VW redesigned this most recent model they have given it more ground clearance and an even better 4X4 system. VW have also re-vamped the front grille and rounded off the back end. There are not that many negatives, I suppose it’s a little plain looking and it really should have 7 seats or at least offer them as an option as the boot is so big. Compared to the BMW X5 or Audi Q7 this car is great value for money and its built on the same cassis as the Porsche Cayenne so also drives really well. Very smooth and responsive you would be happy commuting in this car and also you have the peace of mind when the bad weather comes that you’re not getting stuck. It is also very good on fuel to for the size of car and engine to. MPH = 39.2 Combine d Top speed = 137 0-60 = 7.6 CO2 = 189 On the road price £4 3.160 (Lease price £365+v at over 2 years with 6 payments up front based on 10k miles a year)

C
hristmas cacti are splendid plants. They pump out masses of delicate jungle flowers in rosy red, white, orange, pink, and pale yellow, depending on the variety, just in time for the festive season. And although they’re a true cactus, their spines are so tiny and soft that you’ll barely notice them - and never get pricked. Also as each outer leaf produces its own flower the display gets better year on year. They are available in shops and garden centres right now and are just perfect for those hard-to-buy-for souls. Also, according to my neighbour, who grows prize-winning cacti, they can live for 25 years or more so they’re the gift that just keeps on giving.
Christmas cactus care! Light Christmas cacti are tropical epiphytes, which grow naturally in rain-forest trees. Choose a cool, bright spot, out of direct sun is best. Try an east-facing windowsill, and it won’t know it ever left the jungle. Humidity They love a humid atmosphere so are best grown on a gravel tray. Fill a waterproof bowl with gravel then add water to half way up the gravel. Place the potted plant on top of the gravel. Water As it’s tropical it’s less drought-tolerant than other cacti species.

Repotting Christmas cacti flower best when they’re pot-bound. Every year or so, gently pull the plant out of its container and check the roots. When roots start to mat where they touch the inside of the pot, move the plant into a container that’s an inch larger in diameter. Gently rough up the matted roots with a knife or fork before you repot.

After Christmas When flowering is over, keep the plant indoors until the weather warms in late spring. New growth tends to start in March. If you particularly want the plant to flower at Christmas then next November put the cactus in a place where nights are cool (about 10-12C) and there’s no artificial light. After flower buds form, you can stop the cool/dark treatment and start fertilizing for a strong three-week bloom cycle.

campaign – Leo’s Appeal. Leo’s Appeal is raising £200,000 to enhance children’s services at the Hospital. On the 11 November I was invited to speak to the Consortium of local business and councils along the route at an event held at the Institute of Civil Engineers. I was also delight that Transport Minister Stephen Hammond joined us to formally receive a commitment from the Consortium to provide £45million of funding to the Government to help get train moving on the East West Line. This has been a project I have been involved with for many years and I am very pleased that this month it took one more step toward completion. I am very much looking forward to seeing the first trains running between Oxford and Bletchley by 2017, and all the economic benefits this will bring to our area. Lastly, all that is left is for me to wish readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Introducing...Secklow Sounds’ presents the ‘Grumpy old men’ ...A trio with a mission
W
hat began with a few gripes and moans on an occasional Saturday morning has grown into a full blown 2-hour live show that attracts a dedicated audience of regular followers.
These include many ex-pats living overseas in places as far apart as Australia, India and Canada who keep abreast of controversial home news and events by listening to the programme via Spreaker. The show is hosted by veteran presenter, Mike Barry who is joined by regulars, Bob Bluffield and Alan Mallyon. Each week the trio presents a lively show packed with debate, controversy, chat, argument, a little music and a certain element of frivolity. It is a show that pulls no punches by setting out to expose wrong-doing and to stand up for the causes of the under-privileged and those that have found themselves victimised by bureaucracy. The discussion frequently emphasises the marked lack of commonsense and forethought expressed by the big businesses, the police, legal system, local authorities and the Government and seeks to address issues that the ‘Grumpies’ consider are examples of political incompetence and crass stupidity. Mike Barry, a former mayor of Milton Keynes, has been a familiar voice on local radio for as long as anyone can remember; Bob Bluffield is best known as a former Woburn Sands based professional photographer now turned author; the third, and youngest member of the trio, is Newport Pagnell entrepreneur and

former local MK council ‘cabinet’ member, Alan Mallyon. The successful balance of the programme spawned a second show jointly presented by Mike and Bob to fill the Friday breakfast slot. Bob has been scripting ‘Pop and Rock Legends’ - a two-hour show that features the life and music of a different group or artiste. The show has been running since March and is growing in popularity. So far the featured artistes have included Dusty Springfield, The Kinks, Moody Blues, Eagles, Chris Rea, Marianne Faithfull, Brian Wilson, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Chicago and others. All shows are still available to hear online through Spreaker.com. The format occasionally changes to provide a pot pourri of several notable artistes that are likely to bring memories flooding back for some listeners. The ‘Grumpy Old Men’ is broadcast live from 08:00-10:00 every Saturday; ‘Pop and Rock Legends’ fills the same time slot every Friday morning.

Small businesses will lead the way in 2013, says company whose tenants already employ 1000 people

Milton Keynes will boom in 2013, says the town’s largest serviced business premises provider, as the number of people employed in its units tops 1000 at the close of 2012.
Bucks Biz, with over 400,000 square feet of space and 150 tenants in Bletchley and Denbigh, says it is already planning more units to cope with the expected growth in demand and bringing forward plans to develop extra space at the huge Interchange House in Howard Way. “Our units currently provide work for around a thousand people and we have seen that figure rise steadily,” said Dominic Muscat, a director of the company that owns the business. “As Milton Keynes business booms, led by small businesses, we are already identifying potential new units that can be converted to provide the premises needed for small companies to thrive without hassle.”
