A van is a van, isn’t it? There are millions of them on the road from removal men, tradesmen, caterers, you name a business and there will normally be a commercial vehicle used.

When I first looked at the van I thought it looked a bit too white. The mirrors and bumpers were colour coded and I think with black mirrors and bumpers it gives a nice contrast. The engine on this van is a 2.0 CDTi, so not a massive engine but then it’s a medium sized van so it still needs to be economical. No one is better than anyone else. We are all the same fundamentally, on a level playing field and surviving within our own spheres. We are souls on an upward journey of progression, alive here today for our own unique purpose to fine-tune, tick boxes and release karma. We’re here to give back to life, to society and to members within our soul group, for we’re necessary working parts within life’s own evolutionary structure. Earth is a living entity in its own right. It has conscious mind, it can think, feel and communicate just like us, the difference being it has no single mouth to speak through. Earth needs and uses each one of us in the manner we each choose to let it. It connects to ‘live and know the meaning’ of its own existence – through all of us daily. Whether you feel wanted and necessary or disgruntled and stressed, or lost without cause – is important, for how you chose to view life dictates the next steps you will take. Love is central to how you think, act and live. But who taught you how to do it? Who was instrumental in teaching you what love really meant, how

to use it, how to get it and how to recognise when it was present? Nothing has the power to hurt or harm unless you let it in, yet we often are far harsher on ourselves than we would ever let anyone else be. Subconsciously we believe we are flawed because we know well past choices and actions, and with hindsight we know the times that we should have chosen better, times we specifically let ourselves down... How you feel and process love is unique to your programming and character. What do you feel life is lacking apart from the obvious norm? What would you most like to change or enhance about yourself, about loved ones or others? What good or not good exists past or present in the unfolding life story of you? An interesting thing happened last week. At a talk I was giving some questions were asked of the audience. Who feels loved and acknowledged for the effort they continuously give – No show of hands… Who feels loved and acknowledged by their parents – No show of hands… Who feels loved, upheld and completely accepted for everything they stand for by their husbands, wives, lovers and partners – Again no show of hands… Who feels a big hole somewhere inside their being that nothing can fill, no matter what they adapt i.e. love, work, family, home, outlook etc. – All hands went high into the air…. No one felt whole and supported… To find the love we desire, we have to be that love first and foremost ourselves within our own lives. If we each keep looking outwardly, who can find it, who has got it, where is the love? My books ‘And So It Begins…’ & ‘Life is Calling…’ will be excellent to help you with this. However March is famously temperamental and if the soil where you are is still wet and cold then it’s wise to delay planting and sowing until the temperature rises. Plant nutrient reserves are low at this time of year so, as the soil warms up, it’s time to think about fertiliser. Many gardeners are a bit frightened of fertiliser. All those chemical symbols on the side of the packet are rather reminiscent of school chemistry lessons. In fact the basics are quite simple. NPK - This can be observed on the side of most fertiliser packages. The letters stand for: N - Nitrogen, P - Phosphorous, K - Potassium Together these are known as the macro-nutrients and each of them has its own use. Nitrogen primarily feeds the leafy above-the-ground parts of the plants. Phosphorous promotes strong roots. Potassium makes grass hardier, promotes germination and improves vegetable and fruit yields. The proportions of each macro-nutrient will be printed on the packet.

Equal amounts of each nutrient make for a good general purpose fertiliser. A lawn will need a good balance of nitrogen and phosphorus to guarantee lush green grass with a healthy root system capable of withstanding dry spells. Fruiting plants need higher proportions of potassium. There are other macro-nutrients: Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen, which plants obtain freely from the air and water; and calcium, magnesium and sulphur, which should be present in any good general purpose fertiliser. Plants also need micro-nutrients: Iron, Manganese, Zinc, Boron and Molybdenum. Plants take all these nutrients and build everything they need from scratch, including vitamins. What plants cannot do is absorb vitamins directly from things such as pet food, milk or so-called fertilisers which contain vitamins, proteins and fats. So don’t be intimidated by fertiliser. Decide what your plants need then read the label. It’s easy as ABC.. or rather NPK.
Caution! Don’t over-do it! It’s best to feed little and often. Don’t fertilise in direct sun or the leaves may scorch. Wait until the soil has warmed Keep out of reach of children!

It’s our World. Let’s walk it.
W
ouldn’t it be great to see people, right across the world walking to raise money for cancer charities, helping to combat the fight with cancer, and raising awareness of the disease itself? This is the aim of World Walk which is planned to take place between 10th and 17th May this year. Since being diagnosed with Secondary Breast Cancer in November 2012, I have met many people who have fought hard to beat cancer. Some have won their battles but others, some old and dear friends, sadly lost. Seeing first hand all the sadness and anxiety that cancer brings to both patients and their families, I felt compelled to do something to help speed up the cure. In the UK, the charities being sponsored are Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Trust
and Willen Hospice. Most sponsored walks will take place on Saturday 10th May 2014 and will be held across the UK and other countries. The walk is open to all ages and abilities. In Milton Keynes, we are walking around the Peace Pagoda at Willen on Saturday 10th May. But you don’t have to join that one if you think it’s too much or can’t make that day. You can create your own personal challenge and do that walk instead, at any time during the World Walk week. Take a look at our website to see what other walks are being arranged. You might prefer a bigger challenge and want to come along on the Hadrian’s Wall Walk which starts on 12th May. You will also be able to register your place or if you don’t want to walk, make a donation. The website address is www.worldwalk.org.uk If you don’t want to walk, but do want to take part by volunteering to help out on the day, or if you are proficient walker and would like to help lead one of our walks, we would love to hear from you. You can contact us via our web page. The registration fee is £8.00 (£4.00 for under 18’s). This money covers the running costs, i.e. insurance, licences etc. and all walkers will receive a wristband and pen so that they can write the name of a loved one on it that they have lost, or that is suffering or has survived cancer, dedicating their walk to them.

Milton Keynes will boom in 2014, says the town’s largest serviced business premises provider, as the number of people employed in its units tops 1000 at the close of 2013.

Memory Cafe
A new meeting place in Newport Pagnell for anyone living with dementia together with their carer or friend. The cafe will run from 10am - 12midday at a cost of £1.50 per person, to include tea, coffee, cake and a raffle. There is tremendous value in meeting others, sharing experiences and obtaining information in a safe environment. The venue is Westbury Grange, Westbury Lane, Newport Pagnell, MK16 8JA, a venue run by the Methodist Homes Association. Meeting on the first Wednesday of every month.
