Know Everything About MNS Exam MILITARY NURSING EXAM is an indispensable part of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). It serves as an opportunity for female aspirants to serve in Indian Armed Force as nurses with Officer Rank.

MILITARY NURSING SERVICE is a SSC based post, i.e., SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION OFFICER Post with tenure of 14 years (5+5+4).

Female aspirants who have passed B.Sc (Nursing)/ Post Basic (PB) B.Sc (Nursing)/ M.Sc (Nursing) are granted Short Service Commission in the Military Nursing Service. INDIAN ARMY is known for its strict protocols and adherence towards its rules, so it is necessary for all the female aspirants to be aware of the criteria+ processes.

METHOD OF SELECTION MNS (2022) is a three-staged process: A. Written Test •

The candidates who applied will be called for the written exam.

•

The CBT exam will be of total 150 marks and consists of only object (Multiple choices) type questions. The best advantage of this exam is there is no negative marking.

•

The time duration will be 90 minutes, i.e. 1 hour 30 minutes.

•

Lucknow& Pune are the two cities to be the centre of the examination.

B. Interview After Written Examination, the selected candidates will be called for interview which will be of 100 marks. The number of selected candidates can vary according the seats, it can be three times the total number of vacancies available & the candidates are called according to their merit.

Interview & Medical examination can take 3-5 working days. Candidates are directly coordinated to medical exam once they clear the interview.

Important note:Documents a candidate should possess at the time of interview are as follows: •

Class 10th and 12thmarksheet.

•

PG/PB Nursing, M.Sc./B.Sc. Nursing mark sheet.

•

NCC Certificates.

•

Character Certificate issued by a certified University/Gazetted Officer.

•

A proof ID of Indian citizenship Nationality such as:-Aadhar Card/Voter ID/ Passport/any other proof.

•

NOC from the present organisation if working anywhere.

•

Self-addressed envelope with a postal stamp of Rs 40 for speed-post of call letters (if selected).

•

A copy of release order if one has previously served in the MNS.

C. Medical Examinations Candidate is considered FIT/UNFIT by the president of MEDICAL BOARD of Indian Army. If she is declared temporarily unfit, the process for making APPEAL/REVIEW is directed and informed by the President of MEDICAL BOARD. Two major examinations that are done are: I. II.

X-Ray examination of Chest USG(Ultrasonography of the abdomen) Important note: At the time of medical examination, pregnant candidates are rejected with a note of temporarily medically unfit.
