Project description:
• The project is implemented during the activities of the school IT Club, Tourist Club and Nasza Europa European Club. • Development of an online database of linguistic exercises and posting it on the school website: http://www.sp12.switch.pl/index.php?option=com_ weblinks&catid=27&Itemid=32, • Recording role plays in a foreign language with a digital camera ad developing teaching aids with the use of Ulead VideoStudio 8 SE DVD software, • Showing to pupils books featuring alphabets of languages from all over the world during a Book Festival, • Presenting to pupils savoir-vivre applying in various states of the European Union. Pupils learnt how to greet and say good-bye in various European languages and learnt customs related to asking somebody to dance and eating, • organising a celebration devoted to Christmas traditions in EU countries, including singing carols in German and English and presenting Christmas traditions in English and German, • making photo albums featuring titbits and information on customs and celebrities from various European countries as part of the activities of the European Club, • staging a St Valentine festival of love songs in English, during which top of the list hits were sang, • participation of pupils in Poland-wide language competitions; Deutschfreund, Sprachdoktor, English High Flier (1st place in the Łódzkie Province), Der, die, das Kelner (1st place in the town competition).

• Using modern teaching aids in foreign language teaching, • Using the potential of pupils and their linguistic talents for the development of teaching materials with the use of a camera and software for making videos, • Individualisation of the teaching process, • Development of an online database of linguistic exercises and posting it on the school website, • Making pupils aware of the importance of being able to speak a foreign language, • Making pupils familiar with different cultures, religions, traditions, languages, shaping tolerance and understanding for other cultures, • Introducing to pupils major European figures and their output, • Teaching foreign languages through play, • Using IT skills of the pupils to create multimedia presentations in a foreign language on the European countries.
