Christopher Michael Laughlin December 24, 1980-September 17, 2009 In memory of a life so beautifully lived... a heart so deeply loved

I would like to thank everyone in the Fraser Valley that has helped us through this tearful hard year and in some way were a part of our son Christopher’s life. You touched our hearts with all the kind words, hugs, shoulders to cry on, donations in Christopher’s name, and comments to MEM.com. There are no words to really tell you how much this has meant to our family in this sad time that I wish no one would ever have to go through. Special thanks to: Crystal and Blake, Josh, Nikky and Tristan, Hospice Society and staff and all the girls, District of Mission and Brad’s co-workers. Kim and Lynn, Charlotte and her staff, Angel and family, Nick and Janet and family, Judy and Louie, Richard Hawkins and family, Brad’s Family, Christopher’s co-workers. And if I missed your name I will never forget what you have done for Christopher and being there for us. MILLS Merry “Marlisse” Passed away at home on September 5, 2010 at the age 55. Marlisse will be lovingly remembered by her common law partner John; her daughter, Marlisse, her grandchildren, Hannah and Paige and too many family members to list but she loved dearly and was loved by them all. A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday September 19, 2010 from 1-3pm, at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home, 7386 Horne St, Mission. ROBERTS Helen Lorna Born October 17, 1931 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Passed away August 30, 2010 in Mission Hospital at the age of 78. Predeceased by husband Don, she is survived by daughters Sherry (Randy), Pam (Ray), and Lisa (Mike), 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. The family would like to extend special thanks to Syl, Lynette, Leona, January and Vivian of Valley Home Support for their generous care and support. Many thanks to Dr. Sabanathan for all his care and dedication throughout our mother’s illness.

WIEBE, Burton Burton Wiebe was born in Manitoba on June 21, 1933 and passed away at the St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver BC on September 10, 2010. His parents were his mother Martha who passed away when Burton was two and a half years old and Aaron R. Wiebe. Burton was second of 7 siblings in the Wiebe family. Burton was a bachelor and had an exciting career that took him all over the world. He spent a brief time in the Royal Canadian Navy and had a life long interest in ships and shipping. He spent many years on the coastal tug boats and ocean freighters plying the seas world. He also worked on the notable Kemano Tunnel project in Kitimat BC, and in equipment and vehicle maintenance in Liberia, Africa and the family business, Brookside Farms Ltd. on Mt. Lehman Road. Burton faced many personal challenges in life, but underneath was a kind and loving person. The family is grateful to the MCC, The Outreach Society and the Rodden Lodge in Vancouver who provided care for Burton the last 20 years. Visitation for family and friends will be at 10:00 am Friday September 17, 2010 in the chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services 27555 31st Avenue Aldergrove, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:45 am.
