Like its sister hospitals, PCEA Kikuyu Hospital and PCEA Tumutumu Hospital, PCEA Chogoria Hospital was the fruit of Church of Scotland missionary endeavours. PCEA Chogoria Hospital is set in the lush countryside of the foothills of Mount Kenya. The environment is beautiful, with an exceedingly pleasant climate.
The Hospital is medium-sized, serving the needs of the town of Chogoria and it’s surrounding communities. The hospital offers the normal services - emergency casualty, general outpatients services, general surgery, maternity, but also has an ICU, kidney dialysis unit as well as CT and MRI services.
The hospital has a well-established and smoothly run programme for medical students and also boasts one of the oldest and most prestigious nursing schools in Kenya. In common with the other PCEA Hospitals, Chogoria Hospital maintains a clear Christian ethos and witness. The Hospital can accept up to 4 medical students from Mission Africa at any time.
FOR HOW LONG:
We can facilitate individuals or small groups of 4-6 people an for a minimum of 3 to 6 weeks.
ACCOMODATION:
The accommodation will be organised depending upon the group size, and will be within the locality of the hospital.
