The Miss Dallas and Miss Dallas' Teen competitions will be combined with the Miss Park Cities and Miss Park Cities' Teen titles. The top two contestants in the Miss and Teen groups will be named Miss Dallas 2024, Miss Park Cities 2024, Miss Dallas' Teen 2024, and Miss Park Cities' Teen 2024.

Full-time student physically attending an accredited college or university located within Texas, OR

Interviews are 10 minutes with a :30 second Community Service Initiative opening statement, 9:00 interview and an optional :30 second closing or to finish the last question answered.
30% of Score
In a gown of her own choosing, representative of what she would wear to walk the red carpet or to a black tie event, does she take command of the stage by simply walking onto it?
20% of Score
Contestants will perform a talent of 90 Seconds Nothing longer will be accepted, and this time limit is strictly enforced! if you do not use a music track, time yourself ahead of the competition.

Contestants will model fitness wear for this portion of the competition. The fitness wear should be the Rebel Athletic Miss America Red collection of the contestants choosing. Shoes/socks and accessories such as hair bows and earrings are of the contestant’s choosing

Can she handle the pressure of speaking on stage in front of an audience? Judges must give special attention to whether or not she answered the question she was asked, and did she have the ability to make the audience want to listen to her?
Wardrobe: DelegatesChoice-Stylish Interview Attire (age appropriate)
Timing: 30-second opening, 9-minute Q&A, optional 30-second wrap-up or closing statement.
Fact Sheet & Community Service Initiative (CSI) Statement:
State/Local Organizations will use the same Fact Sheet throughout the competition year.
Community Service Initiative (CSI) submission is a one-sheet document in which the delegate responds in a short essay regarding her personal CSI.

Wardrobe: Opening Number Outfit or Stylish Interview Apparel
Timing: Will be asked immediately after the opening presentation/ choreography. This will be the first phase of on-stage competition. Purpose: The conversation question should be a single question asked onstage regarding the Delegate’s Community Service Initiative (CSI) and response should not be longer than 30 seconds.
Allows Insight into the delegate’s:
Commitment to the Service point of the crown.
Unique perspective on community service and its local impact. Desire to create interest in her community service initiatives. Brings the interview to the stage in an interactive engaging way to showcase each delegate.
Highlights intelligence, personality, charisma, and aptitude for the titleholder’s opportunity.
Allows a look at the sense of composure in presenting ideas on stage. Allows a look at interactivity with the panelists and the audience.
Wardrobe: Delegates Choice of Evening Wear - Appropriate for the Red Carpet.
Purpose: Delegate will publicly present her sense of Style by wearing an evening gown in a fashion suitable for an appearance as Teen/Miss Local or State. Part of a titleholder’s role is to attend galas, fundraisers, awards shows and other formal events. This often involves walking a red carpet, posing for press photographers, modeling in fashion shows, and promoting various national fashion designers who partner with Miss America or Miss America’s Teen programs. Allows Insight into the delegate’s:
Ability to capture attention on stage and individual stage presence. Comfort, confidence, and composure. Overall impression of ability to represent the Miss America or Miss America’s Teen Organization at a high-profile event.
Scoring is based on how the delegate carries herself/performs in this phase of the competition, not on the actual gown she is wearing or the perceived cost of that gown.
Wardrobe: DelegatesChoice-Performance Arts Talents or HERStory™ Presentation.
Timing: Up to 90-seconds
Purpose: To underscore the Miss America and Miss America’s Teen commitment to supporting performance arts education initiatives and women ’ s individual efforts in dance, music, opera/vocal, drama, magic, oratory, and circus arts.
Allows Insight Into the delegate’s:
Preparatory, performance or storytelling skills.
Overall presentation skills and ability to deliver a captivating presentation.
Interpretive ability and entertainment value relative to the category of performance art.
Stage presence, on-stage personality, and personal connection to her story.
Allows a look at the totality of the performance elements of on-stage presentation.
Ability to capture the attention of an audience while performing on stage.
Wardrobe: Delegates' choice of top and bottom style from Rebel Athletic, athletic shoes (black or white, no rhinestone embellishments on shoes)
Purpose: This phase of competition is where the delegate showcases her commitment to health and fitness initiatives.
Allows Insight Into the delegate’s:
The delegate’s comfort and confidence level on stage. The delegate’s overall impression of health and fitness commitment. On-stage presentation and energy, comfort in front of an audience, confidence.
The ability to gauge the audience’s impression of the contestant. The delegate’s spontaneity and lack of “robotic” stage presentation; Ability to determine if delegate could serve as national health/fitness ambassador.

Miss & Teens, RED Rebel Fitness Wear is REQUIRED for the fitness competition. There are several styles to choose from based on personal preference. As a reminder, the fitness wear will be consistent throughout all levels of competition and, once purchased, can be reused at future local, state, and national events*

NOTE: Contestant order will be determined based upon when the application, paperwork and fee is complete (first submitted = last in competition order, last submitted = first in competition order).
All paperwork, headshots, and talent music should be submitted via email, mail, or in person by no later than the deadline noted (the deadline is on the Labor Day holiday). All submissions should be emailed to scott@missdallas.org
We will need a high-resolution headshot in .jpg format for the program book/digital site. Please do not scan in printed pictures or crop images before sending them; they should be original digital images. Please do not send any images sized smaller than 3 x 5 inches. If so, the resolution of your headshot may not be satisfactory in the program book.
Please ensure that your talent (including your music track) does NOT exceed 90 seconds. We strongly encourage that no two contestants use the same song for production purposes. To ensure this happens, please be prompt with turning in your paperwork and music selection. If you are unable to send your music digitally, your music may be turned in on a flash drive that is clearly labeled with your name and track title. The talent song must be the only song on the flash drive.
Submit an electronic copy (preferably .pdf format) of the Judges Fact Sheer, Community Service Initiative (CSI), and a signed copy of the Social Media contract, Duties and Expectations, and attachment C (scholarship acknowledgment) by email. Contestants will arrive at 9:00 am to check in for the day, and move into the designated dressing rooms. At 9:30 am, we will gather inside the theater for a welcome and orientation meeting with the MDPC Board of Directors.

Each contestant will rehearse her talent presentation on stage, in full costume, with music. Rehearsal is closed. Only the contestant and her designees will be able to enter the theater during her presentation. Following a sound-check, the contestant will be able to run through her talent in full, visit with her designees, and run through one final time if needed.
There will be separate dressing rooms assigned for the Miss and Teen contestants. Space will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis
Dressing areas are tight, please bring only the necessities and label ALL items you bring with you Only contestants and 1 female chaperone (teen) is allowed in the dressing room.
ALL MOMS will be dismissed from the backstage area at 6pm, before the doors open. No exceptions. Please refrain from food outside of clear liquids and non-messy snacks in the dressing rooms Please dispose of ALL trash following competition

The Princess Program was established to promote early involvement in Miss America. It is designed as a mentoring opportunity and gives young girls a chance to learn more about what being a local or state titleholder involves, including community service, public speaking, and being an ambassador in their community. Dallas Princess Camp participants must be between the ages of 5-12 years and cannot be older than 12 years by the date of the Miss Texas Pageant next July. All Princess Camp participants will be able to participate in a production number during our pageant and join contestants during the Evening Gown competition. Princesses that sign up under a certain contestant will be paired with that contestant during Evening Gown. If you do not have a princess sign-up under your name, you will be assigned a princess If you know a young lady between the ages of 5-12 years old that might be interested in this opportunity, please visit our website for more information and to register at www.missdallas.org.
