DeMars’ Residence

Modeled with Revit 2014, rendered in Autodesk 360 Rendering engine and edited by Photoshop

The DeMars’ Residence is a second dwelling unit with an attached garage. Revit 2014 was utilized for execution of this project, from schematic design phase throughout construction documentation. Preparation of design options for clients review, production of architectural, electrical and structural drawings were part of my duties in this project. Also, I was in charge of coordinating with mechanical and structural engineers for production and packaging of a complete set of construction documents including mechanical and title 24 for permitting. This project provided me with an opportunity to experience all phases of design development from scratch to final details.

Remodeling and additions to residential buildings are a large part of business for CED Group. I was involved in preparing conceptual plans and models for several of these projects, including this one. I have also been responsible for preparing the entire design documents, packaging them for permit processing. This includes the architectural plans, as well as electrical mechanical and structural.

Nanotechnology and Energy Research Center of San Diego (NERCSD)

Modeled with Revit 2014 (produced by exploded view, the new feature of Revit 2014)

Nanotechnology and Energy Research Center of San Diego is a carbon-neutral and energy plus building. The overall form of NERCSD was designed in a manner to respond to its site context and program in every aspect. Utilization of the nanotechnology products and materials were essential factors in achieving the high excellence of environmentally friendly design and at the same time meeting the requirements of the elegant architectural product. Spaces and functions were organized in a linear L-shape to meet the requirements of building’s function and the needs of user groups.

Modeled and rendered by Revit 2012 and edited in Photoshop

The museum included three main sections and areas, which are museum’s gallery, administration and recreation. The complex is located next to the Wall City (the historic city from the venetian period in North Cyprus). Transparency and visual connection played an important role in the design of museum complex. Visual connection with surroundings was essential in the museum design, as well as natural lighting and environmental factors, aside the site context and topography were others inuential parameter of the complex design in order to achieving the high excellence of an architectural product. Functions, form and spaces are organized in accordance to the groups of user and the role of each function, in order to meet all needs of both visitors and staffs.
