My thesis in Golf Course Redevelopment Strategies reflects the methods and approach of a Landscape Architect, and how to better the implementation of conservation-based design for future greenfield development. With a surplus of golf courses across North America, the growing development of these open spaces have turned landscapes into residential surveys, ultimately degrading the land and heritage. It was my intention to seek out expertise and precedents of greenfield and amenity space development to come up with a strategy for more sustainable redevelopment of golf courses. I hope this thesis inspires conversation and sustainable methods of practice.
