When you’re at the last stage of your pregnancy or about to your due date, your baby grows rapidly and doesn't have enough space in your uterus to move properly. When you’re just close to your delivery, your baby’s position important for you. It means your baby should be in the right position for your delivery. Your midwife also suggests you track your baby’s position continuously during the last month of your pregnancy. During the course of nine months, the baby moves into several different positions. Some of the most common positions are given below. Several Baby’s Positions in Womb:1. Anterior Position:- This is the best position for delivery. In this, your baby’s head is down and his face is towards your back. Your baby’s chin is tucked into his chest, facing the mother’s back. The chances are higher to get into this position when the labour starts, generally 33 to 36 weeks of pregnancy. When the labor starts the narrowest part of the head can press on the cervix and open it for delivery. 2. Posterior Position:- This is slightly different from Interior position. In this, the baby’s facing head down and their face is positioned towards your stomach instead of your back. More likely your baby doesn’t rotate and may increase the chances of post-term or longer delivery with severe back pain. The main reasons for your baby to get into this position is your long time sitting or laying down. 3. Traverse Lie Position:- When your baby lying horizontally in the uterus, then it is the Traverse Lie Position. Your doctor can analyze this by feeling the shoulder of the baby. Most babies will not remain in this position, they continuously moving and turn themselves to be head down. If they are not able to do that then the baby in this position require a cesarean delivery. 4. Breech Position:- At the last stage of your pregnancy your baby continuously moving inside your womb. If your baby is positioned with their buttocks or feet first then this type of position is called breech position. This is not the ideal or safer position for delivery. There may be some complications. There are further three types of breech positions. ➢ Complete Breech ➢ Frank Breech ➢ Incomplete Breech As we discussed earlier interior position is the best position for normal delivery so you have to keep trying to get your baby into this position. ➢ Daily Exercise
