Dear Mirabel Members, September arrived in the blink of an eye! It has been an uncharacteristically busy summer for Membership sales; typically, sales and inquiries slow down during the hot months, but 2021 continues to be a year for the record books. Since June 1, we have had eight new Members join the Mirabel family (one golf and seven social memberships). The golf membership was part of a real estate transaction which bypassed the waitlist and six of the seven social memberships went onto the waitlist. We also added two non-members to the golf waitlist. Longtime Mirabel Members, Scott & Kelly Wickam, went onto the waitlist and were able to upgrade to a Golf Membership in early June. As of September 1, we are processing the final five social memberships to close out the fiscal year. This will bring the total number of new golf Members to 41 (including 11 upgrades) and new social Members to 35. For the second time in Mirabel’s history, both membership categories will be fully subscribed. This comes right as we approach the Club’s and Community’s 20th Anniversary; what a fantastic way to celebrate both milestones! We have only had two resignations, since my last update. I would like to recognize Gregory & Rosemary Insolia and Gary & Debra Michelson for their many years of Membership. They are missed. Please join me in greeting our newest Members who joined since June: John Browning & Loree Ryan John and Loree are native Idahoans. They both went to the same schools in Boise, including Boise State University. John has been involved in the community over his many years in the Real Estate business. John started his real estate career in 1973 and still today has a real estate company that specializes in residential income properties. He is very busy with land development and construction in Idaho today. Loree has enjoyed volunteering in the Boise and Valley County communities and is excited to be involved in the Scottsdale and Phoenix area. They have a large family and are excited to introduce their children and grandchildren to all that Arizona has to offer. They are currently members of the “River Club” in Garden City, Idaho. They are both very much looking forward to meeting the Members at Mirabel and making new friendships.
