AMERICASE SHINES SPOTLIGHT ON ‘VALUE SERIES’ GUN CASES 1610 East Main St., Dept. NWS, Waxahachie, TX 75165/(800) 927-2737/www.americase.com
Built for rugged travel, gun cases from Americase, all made in the United States, have earned a reputation for dependability, and the Value Series lives up to its name. Featuring dual steel locking rods and seals to keep out dirt, moisture and dust, Value Series cases have spring-loaded, added handles and full-length piano hinges. Extra-thick padding inside protects firearms from all kinds of travel abuse. The series includes single and double rifle cases, and a breakdown shotgun case. The outer shell is
made from rugged aluminum, which is .063 inch standard, or .080 inch thick as an option. Fulllength rifle cases measure 52 inches long and 4.5 inches thick. Width depends upon whether the case is for a single gun or two firearms. That’s not all. Americase also produces cases specifically designed for AR-type modern sporting rifles, and there are also cases for hunting bows, handguns and .50 BMG rifles. There are more than 130 different models in the
Americase line, including velvet-lined models for shotguns, and there’s also a line of ballistic Cordura nylon case covers that offer an additional layer of protection. All Americase models are designed to meet airline travel specifications. For more information, see us at booth #1609 and 13579.

BULLET BUNKER FOR INDOOR, OUTDOOR RANGES P.O. Box 400, Port Clinton, OH 43452/(419) 341-1416/www.thebulletbunker.com
Built strong enough to stop a bullet from a .50-caliber BMG rifle, the Bullet Bunker is a phenomenal bullet trap and you can see why during this week’s SHOT Show. The Bullet Bunker’s secret is something called “in-elastic collision,” which translates to a projectile going through the self-sealing rubber face of the target and dramatically slowing down when it enters layers of laminated ballistic fabric combined within the rubber. This fabric is a blend of polyester and nylon that is similar to materials used in soft body armor. Behind that material is another ballistic medium consisting of interlocked rectangles of ballistic rubber that is specially engineered to stop bullets rapidly. All of this is housed in a heavy steel box. There are distinct advantages beyond simply catching bullets. The Bullet Bunker improves air quality because bullets do not splatter but instead slow down without fragmentation. In addition, bullets stopped by the Bullet Bunker can be recovered easily, rather than penetrate deep into soil or sand, or other berm material. Bullet Bunkers can actually be built to a customer’s specifications, and there are also several standard sizes. The Bullet Bunker has been used both indoors and outdoors, and they can last for a very long time.
