NEW! RACIAL EQUITY SCHOLARSHIPS The Department of Educational Leadership established the Leading Courageously for Racial Equity Conference in 2013. Due to the success of the conference, and in support of our mission, the Department of Educational Leadership has initiated an annual series of $1000 scholarships to award outstanding graduate students of color who demonstrate great promise for being leaders in racial equity work. Students must be enrolled in a master’s, specialist or doctorate degree program. The first five scholarships were awarded at the third annual Leading Courageously for Racial Equity Conference, April 21, 2016, to the following students:
Arslan Aziz, Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership Principal License Instructional Coach at Brooklyn Center Area Schools
Shonita Harper, Masters in Educational Leadership 2nd grade teaching fellow at Franklin Elementary Mankato Public Schools
Lawrence Coleman, Specialist in Educational Leadership Cooper High School Robbinsdale Area Schools
Quennel Cooper, Doctorate in Educational Leadership Program Assistant Principal, Hilltop Elementary Inver Grove Heights Area Schools
