"Hello, my name is Minh Tran, and I am currently a third-year student from Spatial Design department at WDKA. I am an enthusiast dedicated to creating atmospheres that resonate with people. To me, space is omnipresent, but only the atmosphere can reveal our individuality and attract us. Autonomous Honours Program '23 "The assignment was to create a personal bibliography, exploring the question 'Who am I?'. I crafted a small book-like box, visually representing my mind, which opens in a way that mirrors my thinking process. Imagining myself as a transparent figure, I see my identity shaped by the environment I embrace, making everything around me a reflection of who I am."

Autonomous '21 "For my first assignment at WDKA, I crafted a 1:1 hummingbird entirely from cardboard. It serves a versatile purpose, functioning as a chair, a bed, or any imaginative utility one envisions. Inside, it invites moments of solitude, meditation. Ultimately, it stands as a work of art, and how one perceives it defines its essence."

Social Winkelcentrum Zuidplein's Rooftop '22 "This assignment focused on creating a rooftop space at Winkelcentrum Zuidplein. My focus was on meeting the needs of individuals, and site analysis revealed that the surroundings effectively addressed two out of the three fundamental human needs: physicality and sociality, however missing emotional element. This realization shaped the core concept of my project, which centers around the idea of fostering a sanctuary for mindfulness."

"I attempted to design a museum for an architecture competition called Museum of Emotions’. The museum has two exhibit halls that evoke opposite emotions - one negative and one positive. I was inspired by the dilemma of people facing death - would they struggle or surrender? The museum reflects this contrast and harmony of suffocation and relief. The design is not finished yet and is still a work in progress."
