55th ANNUAL SHOW

The Show shall be open to the public from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm on Saturday and 10.00 am to 5.00 pm on Sunday

SHOW RULES

• All entries shall be open to all members of the public

• Entry fee of £1.00 per entry must be paid except junior classes free

• Vases for display will be provided

• Entries accepted from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon on Saturday morning

• Exhibitors are responsible for compleQng their entry form for all exhibits

• All entries to be staged by 12.30 pm Saturday

• Limit to 3 entries per person per class

• Once an entry has been accepted it shall not be withdrawn

• All entries must have been grown or produced by the exhibitor (except Class 61 Floral Arrangement)

• The decision of the Judges will be final in all cases

ENTRY OF EXHIBITS

• All exhibitors MUST complete an entry form which can be found at page 14 of this schedule and which will be available on the morning of the show.

• Entries can be submiXed prior to the show by sending the completed entry form along with an SAE to; Russell Greig, Show Secretary, Friends of Eastwoods Park, Miners Lamp Community Cafe & Hub, Eastwoods Park, Eastwoods Road, Prudhoe, Northumberland, NE42 5DT

• Entry forms must be submiXed to the Show Secretary by 12noon Saturday of the show

• Exhibitors will be allocated their own EXHIBITOR Number and an EXHIBIT number for each of their entries. This ensures that we can record each individual exhibit anonymously

• Exhibitors must then place each exhibit along with their entry card with the class number and exhibit number visible. Ensuring the side with Exhibitor number is face down during judging to ensure blind judging

We’re delighted to be bringing back Prudhoe Town Show aTer an absence of 5 years, with slightly reduced classes and awards this year. We want to build up the success of Prudhoe Town Show as Tynedales biggest horVcultural show again.

SHOW STEWARDS

Show Stewards are able to assist new exhibitors and advise on classificaQon or procedure. Show Stewards are required to check every entry to ensure:

• They are correct to the schedule

• They are accompanied by the appropriate entry card

• They meet with the specific class requirements? (Number of elements, size limits, exclusions, presentaQon)

If any entry is not in accord, to advise the judge, who will unfortunately exclude the entry as "Not According to Schedule (NAS)".

Further duQes include:

• Advising the judge on any special awards or prizes.

• Verifying all classes and entries have been judged.

• Affixing the prize cards to exhibits.

• Cataloguing, for the Show Secretary, prize winners in each class.

Awards will be presented at 2.45 pm on Sunday - Trophies MUST not be removed from the show

All cut blooms will be sold by aucQon in aid of show funds

All other exhibits may be claimed between approximately 3.15 pm and 3.30 pm only on Sunday

Exhibits not li:ed by 3.30 pm will be aucQoned

Sale of exhibits will be at 3.30 pm on Sunday

The Friends of Eastwoods Park will not be responsible for any loss or damage to exhibitors’ or visitors property

• Complete the entry form and return this with an SAE to the Show Secretary, address below, along with your cheque for entry fees made payable to ‘The Friends of Eastwoods Park’ or

• Complete the entry form on the day of the show and submit this to the Show Secretary in person

For children's entries, please ensure the child's name and age is added to the entry form, along with a responsible adult's details.
