THE GREEN CROSS PROGRAM The Green Cross is a respected symbol of recognition for individuals who have saved lives with Jaws of Life® products. Since the program’s inception, thousands of rescuers worldwide have received this prestigious honor. To apply for this award, you must complete an official Green Cross Registry application online at www.jawsoflife.com. It requires that you answer a number of questions regarding the rescue. Once completed, your application will be reviewed by the Green Cross committee and, if awarded, you will receive an iron-on green cross to apply to your qualification patch, as well as a certificate. Additionally, you automatically will be considered for the Rescue of the Year award, which is given to one department annually for performing the most significant rescue effort of the year.
