Milton Keynes College Group has launched its ambitious ClimateAction Plan (CAP) for 2024-2030, outlining a roadmap to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and drive positive environmental change across its campuses and prison services. Developed collaboratively with staff, learners, and community partners, the plan focuses on sustainability leadership, green skills, carbon reduction, biodiversity, and transitioning to a circular economy. Regional Colleges Work Collaboratively to Respond to Local Skills Needs

Acollaboration of South East Midlands colleges, known as CoSEM, has secured over £5 million from the Department for Education’s Local Skills Improvement Fund to address local skills needs. The funding was split over four projects around green skills, improving communication with employers, digital skills, and healthcare, ensuring learners are equipped to meet workforce demands and support regional economic growth.

Survey Shows Milton Keynes College Group “Gets”

Local Business Needs

Asurvey of local employers revealed that Milton Keynes College Group (MKCG) has a strong understanding of business needs, with over 80% recognising the Group's sector expertise and 65% affirming its grasp of individual business requirements. Backed by an Ofsted report praising its role in addressing skills gaps, MKCG continues to train over 15,000 learners annually, focusing on sectors like engineering, digital, and green skills, while fostering close relationships with 4,000 employers to support workforce development in Milton Keynes.
