GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS

Graduate Assistantships (GAs) are made available each year in the Daytime MBA Program, providing much-needed experience for admitted, graduate students while increasing their future employment options. Graduate assistants typically serve in a support role at Millikin while completing the Daytime MBA program.

Graduate assistantships are offered in academic, administrative, and athletic areas. Assistantships provided through academic departments typically involve teaching responsibilities. Assistantships in administrative offices involve research and a variety of office-specific tasks. Assistantships provided through athletic teams involve coaching duties.

The interview and selection process occurs two months before the start of the MBA program. GAs will receive a partial tuition waiver, monthly stipend and discounted housing in The Woods at Millikin.

“The opportunity to gain valuable work experience in an ever-growing information technology industry, earning reduced tuition and obtaining a fast-track master’s degree are just a few reasons why the Graduate Assistantship Program is excellent for making your professional dreams come true.”

“Being in the Millikin MBA program has given me the understanding and realization of business life and culture. The Millikin MBA has helped me have new ambitions, a desire for growth and future goals. Having a Graduate Assistantship with the Track and Field team teaches teamwork, responsibility not for just yourself but for others, and makes you grow as a teacher, mentor and leader!”

GLOBAL CONNECTIONS

Millikin believes that to truly understand the global economy in which we live and work, we must immerse ourselves in our international world. For that reason, MBA students, at the end of their MBA program, travel internationally to live and study at a leading foreign graduate school in another country for one week, where they participate in lectures, group projects, company visits and cultural tours to raise the understanding of business practices outside the United States.

This on-location experience will expose students directly to the culture, business practices and leadership attitudes outside the United States; help prepare students for overseas assignments with their company; and expose students to the thinking and beliefs of internationally known professors and business executives.

ZAK JONES

“Being immersed in foreign culture and international business was a lifechanging opportunity. I never expected to feel so at home with the locals, to be treated with the respect of a CEO, or to land an interview with the company we visited, but Millikin made all of those things and more possible.”

MBA ’22

GRADUA TE CERTIFICATES

Millikin also offers three graduate certificates for professionals who wish to develop special skills that will give them an edge in their career. Meant for any industry, our graduate certificates focus on specific business knowledge and allow students to invest fewer resources than obtaining a master’s degree. A Bachelor’s Degree is required before enrolling in the Graduate Certificate programs.
