NEWEL POST TO BOTTOM HANDRAIL CONNECTION

The UT Angled Railbolt, primarily designed for the stair industry to solve the problem of secretly attaching the hand rail at an angle to a newel post. The connector uses the UT drive technology which enables easy tightening at a right angle and deep with in the hand rail just using a hex bit or simple Allen key. The pivoting 8mm shaft has a coach bolt thread (wood thread) which can be simply hand wound into the post and once the hand rail has been bored and the angle cut (last) it is easily attached. The pivoting action caters to any necessary angle open or closed, it produces a strong joint without the unsightly long screw going through the visible face of the newel post or ugly filled nail holes.

NEWEL POST TO FLOOR CONNECTION

Introducing the new Super UT - Post Fastener, this improved model is an all metal design and features the Open Channel in the diecast housing which allows for easy locating to the shaft, this feature alone is very significant to making this product very user friendly. The Zipbolt gear drive system allows the connector to be positioned deep within any kind of post and then simply accessed with a Torx bit in a cordless drill or screwdriver. The length of the wood screw thread ensures an extremely strong hold in the floor and is rotated in with a wrench or use the 40.540 Zipbolt 10mm socket. It also can be fixed into concrete using epoxy resin or chemical anchor.

RAIL TO FITTING CONNECTION FOR LOW PROFILE RAILS

The Micro Railbolt is an addition to the stair range of connectors and has been developed for use in low profile or small handrail sizes and is perfect for joining handrails to fittings or handrails to newels. This model retains all the features of the UT Housing but in a reduced size both in diameter and thickness/profile allowing for a joint to be made with a smaller entry hole where for example it is impossible to rotate a conventional nut. The Micro Railbolt is driven using a Torx bit and the shaft has a hex shape midway and using our deep socket makes the whole joint assembly quick and easy. (See 40.500 6mm Deep Socket Tool)

RAIL TO RAIL CONNECTION

For anyone who has ever assembled a staircase, the time saving benefits alone will amaze you! The new Open Channel diecast housing allows the user to drop the housing over the shaft for easy thread engagement even if the accommodating hole is bored too deep, once engaged using a hex bit with power or an Allen key it is easy to tension the Railbolt. The UT Railbolt is perfect for joining handrail to fittings and handrail to newel posts as well as general woodworking applications. ANGLED RAIL CONNECTION

Zipbolt UT - Mitre connectors are the ideal solution for angle joints and are suitable for a variety of application from furniture construction to staircase designs. The UT Mitre is truly flexible by allowing any angle between 90 and 180 degrees but with distinct advantages that allow the shaft to pass through the back of the housing providing travel and permitting the joint to be recut if necessary. The UT Mitre features two diecast housings and allows the user adjustment to create a perfect joint; each housing has an Open Channel for simply placing over the shaft for easy thread engagement and positioning at the correct height.

ZIPBOLT ANGLED SLIPFIX RAILBOLT - 13.950

RAIL TO NEWEL TOP CONNECTION

Angled Slipfix Railbolt is the latest product for the stair industry and is the sister product to the Slipfix Railbolt, this connector particularly designed for joining handrail to a post at an acute angle (upstairs joint). The angled shaft is preinstalled into the rail with a slight protrusion then can be engaged to the fitted keyhole disc in the post. Once the connection is made tightening takes place using the Zipbolt gear drive system and a side ratchet tool or Allen key providing a perfect joint.

A new product for the stair industry, the main feature of this product will be its’ ability for fixing a hand rail between 2 fixed posts. The Slipfix is preinstalled into both ends of the rail and retracts flush with the end grain, it is then lowered between the posts and the shafts exit and engage the keyhole discs in the posts. Once the connection is made tightening takes place using the Zipbolt gear housing as the drive system and the job is done.

ZIPBOLT XT POST ANCHOR - 17.800

The XT Post Anchor is likely to be the set standard when it comes to strength, this product is designed for surface mounting Exterior posts onto decking areas, porches, and verandas. The new design offers 5 anchoring screw points with the central screw being the longest and then when the base plate is screwed onto the long shaft and tightened to the deck surface they become as one. This is then additionally secured with 4 supplied construction screws.

Slipfix Exterior is the first model we have created for outdoor uses, it is a combination of stainless steel parts and epoxy coated and baked parts, the reason is coated parts could not be made from stainless steel. We have tested the product to 1,000 hrs corrosion test and 1,500 hrs of salt spray test with satisfaction. Slipfix is excellent for situations where a rail is fitted between fixed posts or to any post fixing application, a strong, durable and invisible joint is created.

RAILBOLT DRILL GUIDE - 40.260

The Railbolt Drill Guide is perfectly suited for the Zipbolt UT Railbolt 13.600 and can also be used with adjustment for the Angled Railbolt 11.550 and now all the Slipfix models (13.801,13.950,13.900) where boring onto the rail/fitting is needed. It will make the job of boring accurately into the end grain of rails and fittings much easier, please follow instructions as to the set back distance of the 25mm/1” hole as this varies between different models.

DEEP SOCKET TOOL 10mm - 40.540

The Deep Socket Tool 10mm was specifically made to suite the 14.100 Super UT and the 17.800 Post Anchor as both these models have a 10mm Hex shape as feature on the shafts which provide a positive nonslip grab on the screw shafts during installation. The pack includes 3/8” socket adaptor together with the Deep Socket, this will allow the installer fast and easy installation of the shaft using a cordless drill or impact driver.
