Arrange to Meet with an Advisor
Apply for Financial Aid Several options are available to students to receive financial assistance for college expenses. To learn about those options, call (928) 344-7634. See page 10 for further information.
Pay Tuition Methods of payment—You may either pay online through e-Cashier by credit card (Visa®, Mastercard®, Discover® Card, or American Express®) or electronic check on WebAdvisor. To pay through WebAdvisor, go to www.azwestern.edu and click on WebAdvisor under Quick Links. You may also pay in person or by mail with cash, Visa®, Mastercard®, Discover® Card, money order, or check. Make checks and money orders payable to Arizona Western College. Write your social security number or AWC student ID number in the bottom left-hand corner of your check or money order. Please do not send cash in the mail. The cost for tuition is listed on page 7 of this schedule. If you are receiving financial aid or a scholarship, be sure to check with the Financial Aid Office in the Student Services Building regarding the status of your award.
Complete Placement Tests
Advisors will help students identify the best courses to meet their educational and career goals. If you are registering for the first time at AWC, an advisor’s signature is necessary before you enroll. See page 4 for further information regarding advising dates and times. For more information on advisement, see page 11.
Register for classes You may register for classes online (see page 5) or in person (see page 4). Students registering for the first time must see an advisor or academic counselor first. Certain restrictions may apply. For more information on the registration process, see page 4.
If you plan to earn a degree or certificate, or enroll in general education, math, or English courses, it is necessary to complete the placement tests to determine the courses that will best meet your needs. Please be sure to obtain your student identification number from the Enrollment Services Office. You will need this student ID number to take the placement tests. See page 11 for further information.

Arrange for On-Campus Housing If you want to live on campus while attending AWC, the Residence Life Office can provide information about this opportunity for single students. Call (928) 344-7578 for more information.
Complete and Submit an Application for Admission You can now apply for admission online—go to www.azwestern.edu and click on the “Admissions” tab. If you are a new student with no previous AWC credits or a former student who has been out for more than one academic year, complete the application on page 147 of this schedule. Applications can also be downloaded from the web at www.azwestern.edu Click on the “Admissions” tab and select “Admissions App PDF“ from the list of downloadable files. Return the application to the Enrollment Services Office in the Student Services Building or mail to: AWC Enrollment Services Office, P.O. Box 929, Yuma, AZ 85366-0929.

Obtain an AWC Picture ID The AWC student identification card is available in Room 205 of the College Union. Identification cards must be validated each semester in the Business Office.
