Il Teatro Garibaldi di Palermo si trova nel quartiere La Kalsa, a pochi passi dalla Basilica La Magione.

Il teatro venne inaugurato nel 1861 da Garibaldi, che vi fece un discorso alla folla. Dall'inaugurazione ha subito negli anni varie trasformazioni. Rimase a lungo chiuso e riaprì solo nel 1906.

Negli anni sessanta venne utilizzato anche come cinematografo, successivamente venne abbandonato e riaperto soltanto negli anni novanta. Attualmente, dopo un lungo periodo di degrado, sono cominciati lavori di riqualificazione che hanno suscitato numerose polemiche tra la popolazione ed il mondo dell'arte perché stanno snaturando questo rudere di teatro all'italiana privandolo di quel fascino che ha attirato numerosi artisti negli ultimi vent'anni:[1] da Wim Wenders a Carlo Cecchi (che ne fu il direttore artistico con Matteo Bavera).

Diretto da Matteo Bavera, il teatro Garibaldi è stato impegnato negli ultimi anni in produzioni e co-produzioni con nomi di grande rilevanza europea, quali Carlo Cecchi,Peter Brook, Antonio Latella, Patrice Chéreau , Krystian Lupa,Krzysztof Warlikowski ,Wim Wenders (il quale ha girato una scena del suo film Palermo Shooting all'interno del teatro).

Il teatro ha subito degli interventi che ne hanno cambiato gli interni; i lavori si sono conclusi nel maggio del 2010.[2] Il teatro è stato riaperto nel 2014.

More and more theatres became interested in this exchange, and in 1990 the French Minister of Culture Jack Lang and the director of the Piccolo Teatro di Milano Giorgio Strehler founded the “Union des Théâtres de l’Europe” on this basis. First centred on a programme of regular festivals with the aim to unite East and West, the Union has developed into an alliance of European theatres combining artistic and political goals, and using existing artistic platforms in order to strengthen professional exchange and promote an open Europe of culture.

Today, the Union des Théâtres de l’Europe unites more than forty members, amongst which eighteen major theatres with national and international influence from all over Europe and beyond. The theatres from Porto, Moscow, Bochum, Tel Aviv, Athens, Cluj, Reims, Vienna, Belgrade, Bucharest, Stuttgart, Luxemburg, Sofia, Milan, Prague, Thessaloniki, Rome and Budapest, completed with personal and associated members from France, Hungary, Poland and Georgia are represented in seventeen countries. Their goal is to collaborate on an international level and strengthen the role and value of European public theatres. Together they represent an area that increasingly encompasses the entire European continent and even transcends it with members in Israel, Palestine and partner-artists in various Arab countries.

Seminar Program: “Youth Ballet Festival Palermo 2017“ un Seminario di Danza Internazionale Come funziona descrizione .

Seminario Internazionale di danza Classica con Performance finale.

Seminario dal 30 Marzo al 2 Aprile: Lezioni con maestri internazionali di Classico, punte, variazioni , passo a due, prove per lo spettacolo.

• I partecipanti allo spettacolo avranno diritto ad una lezione gratis al giorno del Seminario.

• Le lezioni per gli allievi che non partecipano allo spettacolo, ma che comunque vogliono usufruire dell ´esperienza dei Maestri Internazionali avrà un costo di 10 euro a lezione.

Spettacolo 3 Aprile presso il Teatro Garibaldi.

Spettacolo e’ diviso in 2 parti: prima parte “Gala”, con variazioni ma anche pezzi delle scuole che vogliono partecipare con gruppi o soli di Classico e moderno (non più di 4 min per gruppo ) . Si suddivide in 30 min per i Giapponesi , 30 min per le scuole.

Il tutto 1h. seconda parte “La Bella Addormentata ” coreografia Valentin Bartes circa 1h15min servono dei ruoli in punta per : 2 Fate valzer dei fiori , ruoli mezzi solisti e gruppo amiche aurora (4/6 circa) 10 gatti (bambini piccoli ) Cappuccetto rosso e il lupo Pietre o cenerentola ( da vedere ) Nel periodo di Gennaio verrà nelle scuole per qualche giorno il maestro Valentin Bartes che tramite un casting (30 min di lezione ) sceglierà ed insegnerà le coreografie per gli allievi ( circa 50 allievi ) che vogliono partecipare per i ruoli sopra elencati e per i pezzi dei gruppi per il Gala. Una volta imparata la coreografia ( Bella Addormentata ) gli allievi potranno provare con i propri maestri i pezzi in cui sono stati coinvolti.

La scuola che ospiterà il seminario avrà diritto alla vendita dei biglietti per lo spettacolo del 3 Aprile .

Quindi pubblicità vendita ed incasso. La scuola che ospitera il seminario deve mettere a disposizione la sala per il seminario e prove dello spettacolo gratis .

Maria Giambona is a Professional Classical Ballet and Modern Dancer .

Maria works at the largest German dance company, the famous Staatsballet Berlin. She performed in many famous theaters around the World and dance many choreographies of the most famous historical classic and modern choreographers .

She studied in the famous School/Academy as Cannes and Marseille of Roland Petit. Model and actress also, for collaboration with photographers, filmmakers and painters.

Currently , beside dancing, trainer and personal coach of several young professional dancers in the world as well, by whom she fill up the strong feeling about teaching dance technique.

Alain Deubreuil nato a Montecarlo dove si è formato nella scuola di danza della madre. Si trasferisce a Londra dove sotto la guida di Anton Dolin entra a far parte del London Festival Ballet come ballerino Principale, interpretando i principali ruoli.

Entra a far parte del Royal Ballet dove lavora con Ninette de Valois, F.Ashton, MacMillan and Peter Wright. Diventa famoso per la sua interpretazione di Albrecht in Giselle e per Il Figlio Prodigo di Balanchine. Durante la sua lunga carriera ha ballato con Margot Fonteyn, Natalia Makarova, Lynn Seymour, Antoinette Subley, Galina Samsova e molte altre.

Nel 1990 Peter Wright gli chiede di diventare Maestro di Ballo presso il Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Attualmente è insegnante ospite in tutto il mondo.

Rappresentante ufficiale dell’English National Ballet School.

Siner joined the State Opera and Ballet of Izmir (Turkey) in 1988 and performed with the company until 2004. In the years 2005-2009 she worked there as ballet mistress, associate director and then artistic director. Since 2005 she has been working with Yannick Boquin as his assistant and studying his method and style of teaching. She staged the ballet "The sufferences of young Werther" chor.Yannick Boquin in 2011 for the Istanbul State ballet and later in 2014 for the Greek National Ballet.She has been invited as guest teacher in the Dance Nordic Seminar in Stockholm in August 2014 and International Summer Ballet School,Dresden in August 2015

Valentin Bartes is a graduate of the Romanian National Ballet School in the city of Cluj -Napoca.in 1993. While still a student, Mr. Bartes had received four gold medals at the Romanian National Ballet Competition and, upon graduation, joined the Cluj National Ballet Theatre, in 1993, as a soloist dancer. From 1994 to 1996, he was a soloist with the Croatian National Ballet Theatre in Zagreb, and then in Spilt. He also performed as a guest artist with the Westchester Ballet Company in New York, USA in its annual productions of The Nutcracker from 1992 to 1998.

Recive the Award of the year of Split <Croatian National Theater for the role of ,,Nurali,, in ,The Fountain of Bakhchisarai in 1995. In 1996, Mr. Bartes moved to Japan and embarked on a career of an independent guest artist and choreographer.20014-2015 guest ballet master and choreographer at State Ballet of Georgia and Cairo Opera House. President of Cultural Association Arte Italia.

After breakfast in hotel, the morning will be spent visiting the capital of Sicily Palermo, one of the richest towns in the island for its history and art. Palermo stands on a bay at the foot of Mt Pellegrino, a headland described by Goethe as the loveliest he had ever seen. While the Baroque predominates, there is a profusion of different architectural styles reflecting the cityâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s multicultural past, including an elegant opera house! We will visit the wonderful Arab-Norman Cathedral, the astonishing Martorana Church and the amazing Cappella Palatina, mirable example from an historical and an artistic point of view, of how different cultures, religions and way of thinking apparently incompatible can coexist. Ruggero II in fact employed both Byzantine, Muslim and Latin workers. Continuing our walk we will admire the debated fountain in Pretoria Square, situated in the ancient Kalsa area and adorned with XVI century sculptures. Along the visiting day we will have a stop for a food surprise in the famous Antica Focacceria San Francesco. Free time for lunch. Later on we will proceed to Monreale to visit its huge Norman Cathedral, proclaimed the Eighth Wonder of the World, and its splendid Cloister in Arab-Norman style: admirable masterpiece of art, sculpture, and semi-precious stones marquetry! In the afternoon we will continue to Marsala in whose port Garibaldi landed in 1860. Visit of a prestigious wine cellar and wine tasting. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
