I never thought I’d be the girl casually wearing a sash and crown around town but life has a funny way of surprising us in the best possible ways. I never imagined this would be part of my story and yet I couldn’t be more grateful for my experiences as Miss Springville/Mapleton. If you’d asked me a year ago what the Miss America Opportunity was I wouldn’t know the first thing to say. But now I can say, it’s the most incredible, transforming, and humbling experience. I can’t even begin to put into words how much love I have for this program and the immense gratitude I have for my year of service.
I have absolutely loved spending over 250 hours promoting my Service Initiative, “The Strength of a Powerful Mind” volunteering at various Mapleton and Springville community events, residential treatment centers, schools, libraries and nursing homes. I have been honored to partner with mental health professionals to focus on building resilience and emotional strength in teens affected by trauma and mental health challenges. I’ve partnered with Treatment homes such as New Haven, Discovery Ranch and Maple Lakes Academy. Every single event has me leaving with a full heart and more love and gratitude than I could ever imagine.
To my incredible directors, Karen, Jana, and Courtney, your impact on my life is truly priceless. Thank you for believing in me, seeing limitless potential, and shaping me into the woman I am today. Your guidance, support, and faith in me mean more than words can express. Not only have you been the most amazing directors, but you have also become my best friends. I am endlessly grateful for your support, encouragement, and friendship.
Thank you to my attendants, Whitney, Stella, Alessia and Millie. This year wouldn’t be the same without any one of you. These girls quickly became some of my best friends. I couldn’t have asked for a more fun and supportive group of girls. From Chick Fil A runs and dancing our hearts out, they make waking up before the sun and going to sleep a little too late, more than worth it.
Whitney, getting to become best friends with you has been such a blessing, your light heartedness and fun energy is so comforting to be around. I am forever grateful for your reliability and the love you’ve shown me.

Stella, Oh how I love you. Thank you for being such a role model for me and helping me see the world in such a light. You are always looking for some way to serve and the love you bring to everyone around you is incredible.
Alessia, you are just amazing. Thank you for keeping me in check and keeping a level head in all aspects of life. Your commitment and hard working energy is inspiring.
Millie, there is never a dull moment with you. Thank you for making me laugh at all times of the day and making every event so memorable.
Thank you to all of my friends and family that have helped and followed me along every step of this journey, but especially to my mom. This program is all about amazing women and I can’t think of anyone that embodies that more. Thank you for being such a role model to me and being my biggest cheerleader. Thank you for coming to events with me and helping me make this year into what it was. I love you endlessly.
To every little kid that came up to me around town, thank you for making my day with every interaction. No matter how small, thank you for making me smile ear to ear and for helping me see all the joys of life. You may not realize it, but you have impacted me just as much as I hope to have inspired you.
To the next Miss Springville/Mapleton, give it your 110% because it is so worth it! Use this opportunity to have the most rewarding experiences, and all your hard work will pay off. Most importantly, love the people, they are what make it into what it is, you are there for them. They are the heart of this experience, and they are the reason this title is so meaningful.
Springville and Mapleton- I don’t think there are enough words to truly capture the love and gratitude I feel for this year. For the people I’ve met, the experiences I’ve had, and the love and support I’ve received. It’s truly been an honor to serve this community, and I’ll carry these memories with me forever. I’m beyond thankful for the Miss America opportunity and everything it has given me. This year has been nothing short of amazing!
Signing off with all my heart,
Your Miss Springville/Mapleton 2024, Rebekah Wall
