Every year, Christians around the world commemorate Good Friday as the day Jesus was crucified. It's a sacred tradition, observed with reverence and gratitude. But what if that tradition is based on a timeline that doesn't match what Jesus Himself said? In Matthew 12:40, Jesus declared, "foras Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."A Friday crucifixion followed by a Sunday morning resurrection simply does not allow for three days and three nights. This isn't just a technicality - it is a matter of biblical integrity. If we believe Jesus meant what He said, then we owe it to ourselves to look closely at the timeline. And it's not just about timelines. In Matthew 12:36, just four verse prior to Matthew 12:40, Jesus also warns, "butI say unto you, That every idle word hat men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment." That includes what we teach others. If we're repeating traditions that do not align with Scripture - especially about something as central as the death and resurrection of Christ - then we must pause and take that seriously. This book is not intended to divide or condemn, but to challenge each Christian to take a closer look Scripture. You do not need a theologian, a degree or a pulpit. Just a Bible, an open heart, and a willingness to let Scripture speak for itself.
