The Durban Segnini Gallery in its 25 years path in the United States, pays homage to the great Peruvian master Fernando de Szyszlo, a fundamental figure in Latin American art of the 20th century, who is celebrating his 92nd birthday this year. For this solo show, the artist has prepared eleven new works in medium and large format canvases.
With this exhibit, Durban Segnini Gallery Miami completes a cycle of six major shows by Szyszlo, one of the most outstanding figures of Latin American lyrical abstraction. A cycle that began in 1995 with Habitación N.23 followed by Elogio de la Sombra (2003), Ronda Nocturna (2007), Sombras y Sueños, (2011), Elogio de la Sombra (2015) and current show Szyszlo (2017).
