options to families which are eligible based on qualified income. The project includes 39 one-bedroom units, 50 two-bedroom units and 43 three-bedroom units for local families. This is also Jamboree’s first smoke-free community.
“The Exchange at Gateway project reflects El Monte’s continued commitment to ensuring that our families have access to safe, affordable housing options,” Mayor Andre Quintero said. “We are thankful and excited to be working with
the Jamboree Housing Corporation to see this major construction project come to fruition.” Once completed, residents will have access to quality housing including amenities such as laundry facilities, a central courtyard with barbe-
cues, a tot lot, and outdoor seating areas. In addition, there will be a 3,350 squarefoot community building that will include a kitchen, computer lab and multipurpose room for onsite resident services, provided by Jamboree’s Resident

The Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority (Construction Authority) today held a dedication ceremony for the Duarte/City of Hope Station, the first in a series of dedications to celebrate the upcoming substantial completion of construction for the six-station, 11.5-mile light rail project from Pasadena to Azusa. Today’s event was attended by elected officials at all levels of government, transportation officials and hundreds of community stakeholders. The Foothill Gold Line project, which broke ground in June 2010, is on time and on budget to be turned over to Metro for pre-revenue service in late-September 2015. Metro anticipates starting pre-revenue service this Fall, and passenger service in

2016. An opening date has not yet been determined. “It is an honor to be here to thank so many of you here
today who lobbied and rallied in support of this project for over a decade and for the men and women who safely
